[OFFICIAL] SP Jain School of Global Management (SPJSGM) | Dubai, Singapore, Sydney: MGB & Global MBA - Admissions 2024-26

Hi!

The April 2011 batch is expected to start around the 9th of April'11, though this is yet to be officially announced.
As for scholarships, pls note they are highly competative and are solely based on merit. Only a minuscule percentage of the earlier batch has been awarded this scholarship.

Hi Rutty,
Waiting for your reply....
Hi

The reason for this is basically due to constraints like location or wanting a particular profile.

Hi Rutty ,

On the website the placement report for Nov2010 batch is still being shown as 90% . Considering that the students passed out by oct end 2010 why is there so much delay in placing the students considering that its already 2 months since they passed out . request you to please throw some light on the same........

Hi Rutty,

I have been shortlisted for the ITM April 2011 intake but I still have some apprehensions about taking up the course.

I would appreciate your help in addressing those concerns. I read on this forum, a post from an SPJCM alumnus saying that a candidate if selected after an interview and is being offered a salary of 6 lpa for a position based out of India has to accept the offer and is no longer eligible to apply for other companies.

Kindly express your views on the same and let us know if such conditions are put forth to the students.

If yes, then are the students made aware about the job profiles and the compensations for the profiles before the interviews are conducted.?

Awaiting a prompt response from your side.

Hi puys!!!!
Can somebody please tell as to how to write in the "achievements section" under "professional". Is it a general approach or related to the current profile?
What about the "other" section?
Rutty any difference between these 2 sections.
My application got stuck because of this confusion. Please help. I want to submit my application by EOD.

Regards

Hi!

In the section for 'professional' achievements you can mention your achievements in your professional career incl. previous employers.
There is also a seperate section for 'academic' achievements (J). So , the section for 'other' achievements can have your achievements in extracurricular/ general activities say as member of any club or voluntary organisation etc.

Hi!
Our cut-off for GMAT is 650 and we only accept scores of 2009 onwards. If your test score meets these criterias you need not take another aptitude test. In which case you will have to mail us your score card asap.
If you have to take the test you need to follow the instructions as advised. Wire transfer can only be made to our account at Dubai.
The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. You can prepare for the test by referring to study material used for CAT & GMAT preparation.

Hi Rutty,

I have a few queries in this context:

1)This year I have taken the CAT exam and will be appearing for the XAT 2011.
I have applied for S.P.Jain Mumbai.Shall I have to separately apply for S.P.Jain Singapore/Dubai?

My Profile goes like this:-
1.X th--81.63%
2.XII th--64%(I had a serious infection in my leg,for which I was in bed-rest for a long period of time, which lowered down my marks).
3.B.Tech--76%
4.Working for Wipro Technologies as a Software Developer and having an experience of 20 months.
5.Extracurricular activities and Achievements:-
a)1st Prize(Gold Medal) in National Taekwondo Championship,2009.
b)1st Prize in Technical Model Presentation in a State Level Engineering Fair.
c)"A" grade certification from All India Science Teachers' Association.
d)and a few others.

2)How far I am eligible to get into S.P.Jain Mumbai/Singapore/Dubai and what are the required steps that I have to follow for that?

3)What are the placement statistics for Singapore/Dubai campuses?

4)With my profile, what would be the minimum and maximum package that I can have after passing out from Singapore/Dubai campuses?

I would be greatly obliged if you can spare some time of yours and answer my questions.

Hi!

Admissions for SPJain Mumbai & SPJain Dubai-Singapore are independant of each other. So you need to apply separately for the two.

We evaluate a potential candidate overall, on several factors. These are: good GMAT, CAT or SP Jain aptitude test scores, good academic record, relevant work experience, good communication and such skills and extracurricular activities. We can comment on your eligibility only once we receive your application.

Details relating to placements are available on our website from-http://www.spjain.org/gmba/placements_update_grad_batch.asp

Hi Rutty,
I have submitted my application last week. Now I want to take SPJAT, but there is no information on any scheduled date of the same.
Any idea how many days before one knows about the schedule of the test. I am quite busy these days, so need some time to prepare for the same.

Hi Rutty,
Do SPJAIN Dubai and Singapore accepts CAT scores?
When will the SPJAT take place?
1 more thing: the placement statistics(which is given in the site)-Are the figures(both highest and average) that are given in $ has been converted to INR and then given or are they Indian placement figures?

Hi!

We do accept CAT scores for admissions into the GMBA. For April 2011, we are accepting scores of CAT 2009 and 2010.
We normally have 3 rounds of the SPJain aptitude test for each intake. For April 2011, we had the first one on 19th Dec. The other 2 may be held somewhere around Jan and Feb. Details will be put up on our website closer to the dates of the test.

As for placements, the data has been bifurcated separately for India, Middle East and South East Asia. We have given the average and highest salaries for the 3 regions in both USD and INR.

hi!

Sorry I missed out on answering this post earlier. We would like to give you a short brief on our placement process. The profile of the job, location and salary is shared with a student ahead of time. If a student chooses to sit for the interview and gets selected then it means an offer which he/she needs to take as he chose to sit for that interview.

As regards the band for India the minimum salary NORMALLY specified to a company from our side is Rs.8 lakhs.

do let me know if you still have any doubts.
