I am currently pursuing computer science engg(b.tech) from GGSIPU university.
i gave my gmat recently and i got 660 with the following breakup:
Quant :48
verbal :33
Following are my academic records:
class 10: 83%
class 12: 78%
current average % in college:74%
i have strong extra curricular activities in college
I wanted to enquire if i m eligible to get admission into the MBA program of sp jain mumbai or GMBA (SINGAPORE-DUBAI).
Would my chances be better if i apply after gaining two years of work ex(with the same score)as a software engineer or i would be asked to give another attempt at GMAT?

Yes you can say it is a combination of CAT and GMAT so you can prepare for the test by refering to any of the study materials used for CAt/GMAT

Our admission pattern is on a rolling basis. which means once our seats are full we close the admissions. If you take the test in July and your application meets all our requirements you get to go for the First round of Evaluations

The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness.

We wont be able to comment on your eligibility based on the details provided here as this is looked into by the Admissions Committee. However as stated earlier too we would at all times prefer a candidate with minimum 3 years work experience. Exceptions are made only in extraordinary cases for whichyou need to send your application to the ADCOM to be assessed.

If you plan to take the SPJAT in August and are shortlisted for the Evaluation, you will be called for the 2nd one which may be sometime around August end or early Sept.
If you take the aptitude test more than once we consider the best of those scores. So in your case if your SPJAT score is better than the GMAT score we will consider your SPJAT score.

i recieved a 610 (Q42 , V32) on GMAT.. 6.0 on AWA.. which i understand is a tad below your 650 requirement on GMAT .. I am planning on taking SPJAT too may be in the JUly or latest August round..
In your post when you say in case of exceptional profiles you tend to accept even low GMAT scores.. what exactly do you look at.. i want to know the weigtage of my GMAT scores too with my profile which is for you to judge
And what according to you is a holistic view of a profile..

Your queries are answered below-
1. The batch at Dubai is expected to start by 13th Nov and Singapore by 15th Nov. These dates will however be reconfirmed once you get the offer.
2. We donot permit a student to defer his offer under normal circumstance. It is only in special cases which the Admissions Committee deems fit, would a student be permitted to defer his offer.
3. We would be having around 2-3 rounds of Evaluations. The final one may be around the end of Sept or beginning of October. But pls remember the admissions are on a rolling basis so it is best to apply at the earliest and not wait till the last date.
4.Yes, our cut-off for GMAT is 650. we normally donot come down here except incase of exceptional profiles.

Sorry but 610 is way below our cut off line. You may have to take the test again or alternatively appear for the SPJain Aptitude test. We are doing one on 25th July and the next around August.
As for your achievements, they are good but very unlikely to make up for the shortfall in your aptitude scores.
In any case you can submit your application and let the Admissions COmmittee take a final decision.

In one of your posts you mentioned your CAT 2008 score to be 90.XX. That meets the cut off for SPJCM and 2008 CAT scores are being considered for the current intake so you can apply through that.
Additionally you can take SPJAT.
