Hi!

You may apply with your present GMAt score.the admissions committee will also take into account your work exp.Though our normal cut-off is 650, exceptions are made at times if the candidate is strong in the other areas.

I took GMAT twice and scored 640 both the times.
I have work experience of 5 years in Operations and Supply Chain and want to apply for Global Supply Chain and Logistics. Am I eligible with GMAT score of 640.

1. What are exact dates when the November Intake session starts ? as in the dates when the student is supposed to be in Singapore/Dubai

2. Is the provision of retaining a confirmed admit from November'10 to April '11 intake still available ?

3. Latest by what dates are final admission offers made to successful canidates?

4. Is ur 650 cutoff on GMAT a stringent one.. ? Can that be a bit lower and be compensated with good professional or extra curricular achievements ?

Hi!

Your queries are answered below-

1. The batch at Dubai is expected to start by 13th Nov and Singapore by 15th Nov. These dates will however be reconfirmed once you get the offer.

2. We donot permit a student to defer his offer under normal circumstance. It is only in special cases which the Admissions Committee deems fit, would a student be permitted to defer his offer.

3. We would be having around 2-3 rounds of Evaluations. The final one may be around the end of Sept or beginning of October. But pls remember the admissions are on a rolling basis so it is best to apply at the earliest and not wait till the last date.

4.Yes, our cut-off for GMAT is 650. we normally donot come down here except incase of exceptional profiles.

The centres for evaluation on website are marked as Singapore and dubai.. apart from Mumbai... but can you please answer the following:-

1. Is the evaluation criteria is same as it is in Mumbai??
2. What is usual time period taken for evaluation ?? I heard that the result of evaluation in Mumbai is actually anounced or mailed with in 2 days when the candidate is selected?? when is the result is announced in other two centres??
3. V.Imp ---What is the ratio of the students taken from all the 3 centers??? The other two centers do they really prefer indian origin people or these two centres are only setup for Non Indians.

Please answer them point wise.

Hi!

The 3 Centers where we hold the Evaluations are actually Centers where we have our offices.

The evaluation criteria is the same at all our 3 Centers. A student is given a Center based on his location. Applicants from India would obviously prefer coming to Mumbai, whereas foreign applicants or Indian applicants residing overseas for work or any other purpose would prefer going to either Dubai or Singapore whichever is closer to them.

The turnaround time after evalautions is normally a week.

Students are selected on the basis of merit only. there is no ratio or quotas fixed for each Center

1. Does EMBA course grants a Masters Degree on successful completion or certificate/Diploma

2. Can the EMBA certificate be attested in INDIA/Dubai by respected government ministries.

Hi!

No we have not yet started with the evaluation rounds for November 2010 intake. we have started accepting applications but the spjat & evaluations will only happen from July onwards. you need to keep checking our website for updates on this.

I have applied for SP Jain-GMBA & waiting for a response from them. I have a few queries regarding the admissions:

1. When is the date (tentative) for SPJAT? This is important to know in prior, as we need to get the Reservations done.. or we might end-up in Panic.. if we are Intimated in the Last hrs.
2. Can I apply with the GMAT score also, if I don't qualify (or perform well) in the SPJAT?
3. By what time (Maximum) shall I apply with my GMAT score, for the Nov 2010 intake?
4. How many days after the SPJAT, the resulta will be declared?
5. When will the Evaluations take place, after the SPJAT results are declared?
6. How many DOCTORS are/were there in the SPJain-GMBA programme in the Current/Previours batches? And what Profile/Domain did they join after the GMBA?

Pls note since you are an applicant the right place for you to have your queries resolved is by writing to [email protected]. This forum is basically for general queries.
This time though, I'll answer them here-

The first SPJAt for Nov 2010 will be held in the month of July, the exact date will be officially announced on our website shortly.The test is conducted at various cities in India for the convenience of our students. The announcement will be made well in advance so as to enable candidates to prepare for the same.
for gmba, we accept either CAT, GMAT or SPJAt score. you can apply with more than one score and we will take the best one into consideration. These scores should come to us latest by the 15th of September, which is also the last date for us to receive applications.
the results for SPJAt are normally declared within a week to 10 days. the result is emailed to the candidate
the evaluations will be held after the results
for your pt. 6 I can roughly tell you that most of the applications from medical students came for Marketing-both Product & Service and GHRM. they were also few for ITM

we have received your mail on gmba and the same is being looked into. since you had entered a wrong email id, the autogenerated acknowledgement may not have come on your email address.

You should receive an ack. soon. you can mail on gmba if you donot get a response by this weekend.
