Hi,

Pls use a new login id and password and fil lthe form again for the April 2010 intake. The old one will NOT suffice as it will NOT be considered for the April 2010 intake

Hi Shweta,

Today while creating a new login and password for the april 2010 intake I saw that my previous application still exists . Do need to create a new application or will the old one suffice ?

Another thing which I wanted to ask is about the IELTS requirement ! It was not there the last time right ? Is it required when english was the primary medium of instruction during graduation ?

Hi,

Yes, we would be having one or two more aptitude tests in Jan/Feb 2010. IELTS is mandatory even if you have been educated in English all through

If I appear in the SPJAT test on dec 5, then will I be allowed to appear in SPJAT in JAN/FEB (In case I don't score well in dec test).

rumors are that corporates out there have started firing ppl. is this true?what was the approx %of students from the prev two batches that got placed in dubai

The test is for 1 hour and will have 45 questions.......

The Test is not that difficult.. There are 5 sections in all. 1st section is about the Diagramatic reasoning in which marking was like +3 and -1. Then there was an IQ section. Then Qunats had around 10 questions each was of 3 marks. Then there was a verbal section which had a RC passage and then lastly GK.

If you are preparing for CAT it will be easy to crack this exam.

These inputs are based on the SPJAT when i gave i have no idea if they have changed the paper.

@ Rohan obviously chances of getting in the second and third round becomes tough as the number of seats reduce.....so it is always better to apply early. there is one more advantage that you get ample ammount of time to complete all the formalities if you apply early.

Hi Shweta,

I have taken the TOEFL exam. I can send that score to the school. Most schools accept either the TOEFL or IELTS. Both the exams evaluate the same thing.

Can you please throw some light on the reason for the "only IELTS" requirement?

Will SP Jain accept TOEFL scores?

Hi,

You may apply but we prefer candidates to have 3 yrs work ex but we will consider candidates with 2 years work ex if found exceptional. Admission can be deferred to the Nov 10 intake

Hi,

Due to certain regulatory requirements we accept only IELTS scores and not TOEFL or any other Enlgish Language proficiency scores

Hi,

We havent fixed the date for the next test - it should be sometime in Jan 2010. Yes, admissions are on a rolling basis so the earlier you apply the better

I do not think the issues going in Dubai would affect placements - we have managed to place a good number of students in companies based in Dubai.

I will be having an exp. of 21 months by March '10. Will my application be considered? I have heard you do not entertain guys below 24 months of exp. Is it true?

hi Guys,

I have a core telecom experience of around 21 months,and previously i had 6 month stint with a leading Indian IT company.

Now problem is that i do not have a work experience certificate for my IT stint,i had to resign and they were not releasing me so they did not give the certi, but i have my joining letter and pay slips to prove.

Do you think 6 months will be considered during the interview?
