Hi Shweta,

I have a couple of questions around the test that is expected to be conducted in the 3rd week of September:

1. Shall the test pattern be similar to the August 1st SPJAT (in terms of the sections and the distribution of questions) ?
2. Can one take the test from Kolkata, India. Do you have a test centre in Kolkata?

I had given the SPJAT in august and after evaluation i have mailed the score to the admissions department.
Now is there any other next step that i need to do coz as such form is still not updated .

Shweta, what are the deadlines for april 10 intake ? When does the app process start ? How many seats are there for april 10, as many ppl have already got deferred admit to april 2010.

I am been reffered to this thread by as seek information on the dates of SPJAT test and their locations.

Now, i have seen in some previous thread that one SPJAT test is scheduled to be conducted in 3rd week of september 2009.

From this first of all, it would be great if someone can comment on my chances ?
My breif profile for you :
Work ex 7 Years ( From last three years in one of the biggest IT company in India and prior to this had worked with Telecom majors Airtel and reliance info)
Computer engineer with average acads, carryig some decent ECAs and good work recognitions

and what score in SPJAT should i be aiming at?

Finally, how would the final test date and venue will be intimated to us?

Hi,

No, you do not need to do anything. You will not be able to view any updates on your online application as once the form is submitted it is locked for editing and no one can change it.

We havent yet fixed nything for the April 2010 intake as we are currently i nthe Admissions cycle for the Nov 09 intake.

Hi,

Your profile seems good but I cannot comment on your chances as that would be the decision of the Admisisons Committee.

The cut off for the SPJAT woukls be 75%ile.

We would be updating details regarding the test on our website in the coming week

I have submitted my application for Nov09 intake, using the online mode. Though it was mentioned that I need to save a copy of the filled application, I was not able to save it online. Can you please let me know if there is any means from where I can get a copy of my application?

hi,
I have applied for nov intake.. my status is waiting list.I scored 87%ile in apptitude test, conducted on aug 1st and with very gud academics and achievements.Only thing is running short of exp(1.7 yrs).As my status is waitinglist can i take aptitude test which will be conducted on sept to enhance my chances, if i get very gud score in the aptitude test?
But plz tell me will it affect my april intake chances if by a chance my apt score is reduced and i am not shortlisted for nov intake.I mean to ask will the score and no.of attempts are recorded as everytime we take the test?

hi,

You need not take the test again as you havea score that meets our requirements and your score is not the reason for your waitlist it is most likely your shortfall of your owrk ex.

It will not affect your chances for the April 09 intake

I have just given my GMAT exam today and scored 590. I am aware of the fact that this is below the cutoff score which is required for SPJain Global MBA program. To be doubly sure about whether I should still apply for this program, can you please suggest me if there is any possibility, going by my profile:

X - 81%
XII - 67%
B.Tech - 8.1/10 (CGPA)
Total Work Experience(in months) - 38 till date
Currently employed with HSBC Software India Pvt Ltd.
Received lot of certificates from clients for accomplishments.
Recently received Best Employee award at HSBC in the whole business unit.
Extra Curricular activities: Was always involved in college fest activities but never at the certificate levels. Was also the member of Placement Committee in final year.

Please suggest me if I should apply for the Global MBA program. If yes, then I can start writing my essays and work on other aspects of the application too.

I am planning to apply for GMBA Nov intake. I am yet to take my GMAT/SPJAT. I saw some where in this thread that spjat may be held in 3rd week of september. can i apply before i actually write the test?

PS: one of my friends who has written CAT last year want to apply in november's gmba intake as well. he scored 86%. is he eligible?

My brief profile is as follows :

XTH : 74%
XIITH : 66%
Graduation (B.Tech Electrical) : 62%
Work Experience : 3 years and 4 months (as on date) which includes 15 months of overseas work experience.
Extra Curricular : I have been good at badminton and participated in district badminton championships. i have also participated at school level plays etc.

I am appearing for CAT,'09 for the first time this year. I haven't appeared for SPJAT as yet. Can you kindly let me know the date of SPJAT. How would i be able to inform about my test scores ? Please let me know about my chances of getting a call with this profile.....Looking forward to your valuable advice.

Hi,

You can gpo ahead and apply but since your GMAT score does not meet our requirements - hence you will have to take the SP Jain internal aptitude test to be conducted around the 3rd week of Sept 09 - the details will be updated on our website next week
