Hi,

I have been called for evaluations on Aug 16, 09. My profile is :

X : 90 %
XII : 91 %
B.E : 81 % ( From DCE )
Work ex : 30 months ( software engg as well as Marketing)

My queries :
1. Due to recession i lost my job in April, Now I am job less. I want to know how this will impact my admission in SPJain Spore? IT WOULD NOT BE HELD AGAINST YOU
2. I am developing a website with my friends and I am also helping my Dad in his textiles business , can i show this as my work for past 2-3 months? YES
3. I want to start up a business after working for 2-3 years hence MBA, how will this course help in achieving my goal ? IT DEPENDS WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS YOU WISH TO START AND WHAT WOULD YOUR ROLE BE IN THE SAME - YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM MARKETING/FINANCE/LOGISTICS/IT/HRM

I have an interview call from SPJCM for the November intake.If I get through I will be completely relying on student loan and thus I am apprehensive.

1.This is a one year fast track course. How relevant is it for someone with 2 year work-ex?
2.The fees is around 16 lakhs+fooding and travel extra. I guess a loan of atleast 18 lakhs is a must. Does it have ROI?
3.What kind of placement assistance will be provided? Is it like here in India?
4.Will the GMBA degree be equivalent to an Indian MBA degree?
5.Will i get a work permit in Singapore and/or Dubai after my course?
6.How does an average person fare at SPJCM in terms of placements and the average package?

Can I directly contact SPJIMR for clarifying these doubts?

Please tell the latest status of my application having Id 40044 - ACFM .It was waiting list - initial screening as I came to know that evaluation mails have been sent. I have 95.39 percentile in SPJAT.

My application number is 40239-SMM.I applied in the May month itself.

I assume it is in waitlist initial screening as told by you in the above post because i attended Feb evaluaion.can you let me know the reason behind keeping me in waiting list because of earlier avaluation attended ?

I also just want to mention that i applied for last intake as per my CAT Score.But for this intake to better my chances and also to increase my score i wrote SPJAT this june 21 and scored 93.6 %ile.

Is it because i have been called for last intake(April 09) evaluation i wont be called again until the next april intake and my chances of getting evaluation will be affected for this Nov intake ?

Hi,

Yes as you have already been through the evaluations in the April 09 intake - the Admissions Committe may take longer to process your application to gather more information and to probably assess what has changed significantly in your profile from the last application

This in no way will hamper your chances of being shortlisted (if found suitable) for the Nov 09 intake

Hi,

You can send in your application but your GMAT score will not be valid as you have taken the test in 2007 and we are accepting scores of only 2008 and 2009.

You can take the aptitude test to be conducted in various cities in India starting July 25

i am new to pagalguy.would like to seek some info from you, i am interested in pursuing the emba (2yr part time ) program offered by spjain dubai. Does this program have multiple intakes in a year?When is the next session due to begin?
In the site there are no mention of placements have any past batches got placement assistance?
what preparatory material is best to prepare for the evaluation test
and what kind of biz study is generally given for evaluation purpose.
