I need to know what chances do i stand to get admission in SP JAin Dubai and what is the deadline to apply for it... I have seen its official site but nowhere does it mention about how to send GMAt score? How can i send my GMAT score to them???

Hi Namita,

For HR Courses in india XLRI is far ahead than any other institutes.
They have specialized HR courses also of short duration.

Apologies if this has already been answered on this thread before.

I'm targeting April'10 intake and by March 2010 would have a work-ex of 18 months (so would be short of 6 months for the mandatory 2+ yrs of work ex)

Although its mentioned time and again that a holistic approach is adopted to judge a candidate's profile, does a profile with less than 24 months of work-ex stand any chance at all, or is that a strict parameter for shortlisting applications provided that all other factors -academics, extra-curricular et al range from good to excellent.

Any information would be appreciated.

I got a call for the first round of evals - on 16th. however I am unable to book my slot online.

my application id is 40293, what should I be using on the login screen ? 40293-GLM or 40293-GLSCM ? Either ways it shows a blank page when I log in. Please advise.

Hi Wall,

Did you get the call letter e-mail. If so there should be a link in the call letter which directs you to the Evaluation login page. I am also assuming that you are directly clicking on the link provided in the call latter . Do not do that rather copy and paste the link in the web browser and you will see it working.

In the evaluation page you need to provide you application id and i.e, 40293 and select GLSCM from the drop down options available. Please do not give 40293-GLSCM as your application id. It does not work.
Then select the Mode of payment after which you will be directed to the website where in you can make the payment.

Once you make the payment you can select the date and time you wish to have your evaluations.

I have been called for evaluations on Aug 16, 09. My profile is :

X : 90 %
XII : 91 %
B.E : 81 % ( From DCE )
Work ex : 30 months ( software engg as well as Marketing)

My queries :
1. Due to recession i lost my job in April, Now I am job less. I want to know how this will impact my admission in SPJain Spore?
2. I am developing a website with my friends and I am also helping my Dad in his textiles business , can i show this as my work for past 2-3 months?
3. I want to start up a business after working for 2-3 years hence MBA, how will this course help in achieving my goal ?

I have applied for the Nov 09 intake and have been shortlisted for the evaluation process on Aug 16th. Unfortunately I am not in India during this time and hence asked for a later date for evaluation.. hopefully this shouldn't be a problem...

Anywayz my query was regarding the new IMM specialization.. since this was added very recently for the May 09 intake.. (I think) I wanted some more information regarding the same...

Some info from the students.. type pf placements.. Resume Book by this specalization would be very handy in understanding and evaluating the course structure...

My Profile :

Work Ex : 2.5 yrs in marketing, branch operations (sales), response to tenders, project management, International Business development etc.

GMAT : 710/6.0

Extra Curricular :Good

Acads : Decent

Any info. would be highly appreciated...

It would be the decision of the Admissions Committee whether or not to shortlist a candidate who has a shortfall in the work ex while all other factors being good .
