No, it is not too late to apply for the Nov 09 intake as we have not yet had the first round of evals. pls go ahead and send in your application
Thanks Shweta
Hello Shweta,
Is it too late to apply for the November 2009 intake at SP jain dubai? I have heard that the chances of being short listed are lesser if one applies late in the admission calender.
If its too late to apply now, i am ok with applying for the april 2010 intake. Could you please advise if i should wait for the April 2010 intake? I would be obliged if you can let me know when the admission process for the April 2010 intake will start.
HI rutty, i have submitted my application , but it reads that the status will be updated shortly..when is it likely to change... whereas for some ppl is shows waitlisted .. can u help me wid dat ?
I had applied for SP jain dubai a couple of days back, when i checked my status it says
"Wait List - Initial Screening Thank you for the interest shown in S P Jain, Dubai-Singapores GMBA (November 2009 intake) program. We are in receipt of your application and on screening the same we find you falling short on some of our admission criteria due to which we have kept you on our waiting list. Periodically (there is no specific time frame for doing so - it is done as and when the need for doing so arises) this list is reviewed and students moved to the evaluation process. Please check this website at intervals to ascertain if there has been any change in your admission status. "
Can you please check what could be the problem, my App number is 40431-RM.
My profile is GMAT - 680 (5.5) X - 80% XII - 81% BE (IT) - 74% Good EC Workex - 5 years, working as Business Analyst (Retail Sales) in a major Indian IT company
Sorry This question was meant for rutty and not Shweta :-)

My profile is: 4 years work-exp in IT (working in Enterprise Content Management- 10 months onsite USA) B.Tech IT-73% Anna University XII- 93% X- 79% My only concern is that i have very modest extra Curriculars to add to my profile. Will that deter my chances of getting shortlisted or scoring an admit? I am keen on applying for the SP Jain GMBA Novemeber intake.
It will be updated shortly - before 30 days since you submitted your application are up
Thanks Shweta

I dont understand whats the difference - Rutty or Shweta - as you can see the user name is Rutty's but the person replying to all posts is Shweta!!
Coming to your question - as of now as we havent yet had the first round of evals and we have not yet fixed the date for the first round hence for now your status could be waitlist. Once we start shortlisting students for the evals you would know your exact status
Thanks Shweta

Your profile seems good enough and I do not think modest extra curriculars would be a deterrent but I cannot comment on your chances as that would be the decision of the Admissions Committee
Thanks Shweta

Thank you for your prompt reply. It would be helpful if you could let me know one more thing..I might have to travel abroad for a project with my current employer. In which case i might not be here for the interview and/or when the admissions start. My questions are: 1. Can the interview be telephonic 2. In case i get through for the Nov batch, can i defer my admission till April 2010.
Pls see answers to your questions below marked in CAPS
Thanks Shweta

The total fees for the programme are USD 33690 this includes your tuition fees, visa costs, insurance and accommodation. Apart from this you would have to bear the cost of food, airfare and have a laptop.
So far our students have been well placed with avg salaries of around 15laks.However the placements for the students who graduated in MAy 09 intake are still ongoing due to the economic downturn.
Thanks Shweta

I wanted to know that...What would be the actual cost of MBA at the Dubai and Singapore Cmapuses.
Further to this Will this MBA give me a placement that would be worth after completing a high cost MBA.
