10th SSC: 88.5%
12th: 91.67%
BE in electronics- Mumbai university: 63% aggregate
MS in electrical Engineering: Illinois institute of Technology - chicago USA GPA - 3.3
GMAT - 720 (95 percentile - August 2008 )

Work experience:

5 month Internship in Energy sector General electric company - new york
worked as a project management intern and was scheduling largescale Energy(hydroelectric, windfarm, gas turbine) projects

Test Engineer for 5 months in motorola - Illinois
Tested CDMA handsets.

May 2007 - current
Currently working as a Project Engineer with Cintra, a Spanish transportation company. I prepare RFPs, hire and supervise consultants for PS&E; projects, provide project management to provide turnkey toll collection solutions for Cintra's concession companies. Typically I supervise firms who install the toll collection systems, work involves contracts, proposal evaluations, testing and approving equipments, defining business rules, define system requirements, approve budgets, train Cintra personnel, define responsibilities for Cintra personnel.
I am also required to identify and open negotiations with potential IT partners on behalf of Cintra. Also I identify and clearly communicate risks to project stakeholders and Higher management (Business development directors and Project Managers), define problem solving and risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution. I have managed a couple of million dollar implementation projects solo.

Extracurriculars:

Written and spoken proficiency in Spanish.
I have won awards during school and college for caricatures etc.
Volunteered at old people's homes in India, teaching under privileged students in USA, volunteered to entertain underprivileged kids in Sion hospital.
Active member of IEEE india, was part of event marketting in mumbai college.

Total full-time work experience till April 2010: 3 years and 10 months

I want to apply for the marketing specialization at SPJain - Dubai. Alternatively, I am applying for the IT project management spec. too.

I would really appreciate it if you could tell me your opinion on what my chances look like or if I need to improve on my GMAT and extra-curriculars.

Hi,

Did you go through the evals last time? If yes then maybe the Admisisons Committee is going to take longer to assess your application as they would need to see what went wrong last time

Hi,

As I mentioned that you will have to be a little patient and wait a while longer till the Admissions Committee takes a decision on your application. In the meanwhile maybe you could write an update on how your profile has changed significantly since the last time that you applied and email this to [email protected] to append with your application

yes, those were tentative dates out up on our website. It maybe held a little later like maybe mid or 3rd week June

Hi,

Your profile is a bit weak on the academics but you havea good amount of work ex. I cannot comment on yourchances as that would be the decision of the Admissions Committee. However having a score on you is mandatory to complete your application and you will not be shortlisted unless you havea score that meets our requirements. hence you will have to take either the GMAT or SPJAt inorder for your application to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee

Hi,

If you take the first test that we hold (most likely in June) then you would not really be late as we have not yet had our first round of evals.

The procedure to apply for the test will be put up on our website when we announce the test date.

Tentatively, the test could be around the 2nd or 3rd week of June 09

Hi Ma'am i hav decent acads and a decent profile but i would have a 20 month expeienceby oct...
and as such i dont have a score so i wudb sitin for spjat...
im interested in ghrm program...is the 2 yr exp mandatory...wud u give calls based on pofile below that...
n what is d ususal rangeof spjat's cut offs?or can u tell me what is the gud score range
