I am applying for the Nov 2009 intake. I gave my GMAT last December, and following is my profile: X - 80% XII - 62% Bachelor's degree in Gen Mgmt from US univ GMAT: 690 (AVA:6) 2 yrs 3 mons in knowledge management firm (based in B-bay), 2 1/2 yrs total work ex EC: Decent
Wud my profile be considered for the short-list? I am thinking of opting either for the Finance or Marketing specialization. Also does anyone have tips (esp those who got accepted) to make the essays/rest of the application more appealing?
We cannot spcifically tell you what spez you can opt for - it would have to be based on your own interests and future goals. You could look at one of the Finance options esp IBWM as that is your domain or at the IT Mgmt spez

Hi Shweta, I am interested in applying for SP Jain Dubai November Batch. Could you please help me with deciding the specialization? Profile: 10th: 79.6% 12th: 61.9% B Tech (Mech Engg): 74.4% CAT 2008: 95.91% Work Exp: Total 52 Months - First 6 Months in a manufacturing company in India as Trainee Team Leader - Rest 46 months in TCS as Assistant Systems Engineer; currently at client location UK from last 26 months. I work in eCommerce area in Insurance domain and have good knowledge about life insurance. I also have worked in areas of general insurance and wealth management. Because I have knowledge about Insurance domain, I want to do MBA in a specialisation where my knowledge will be used (probable considered as prior experience). I am not able to decide on the specialization I should opt for, though I am interested in Finance or Marketing. If you apply without a score - you cannot be shortlisted for evaluations until you sbmit a score. Once we receive your score, your application will then be reviewed and if shortlisted for the evaluations - you will be informed accordingly

Your acads and CAT score seem fine but your work ex might be a bit less as most of our students usually have 2 years + work ex.

if you do not have a CAT or GMAT score, you may take the SP Jain Aptitude test. We have not yet fixed the date for the test. Pls check our website - www.spjain.org at regular intervals for details reg the same

I want to apply for the marketing specialization at SPJain - Dubai. Alternatively, I am applying for the IT project management spec. too.
