I am taking GMAT on 17th May. I have undergraduated in Commerce stream and have done MBA (Finance). have 6.5 years of work experience (in credit underwriting), of which last one/one and half years are into entrepreneurship (Currently running my own consulting firm)
Questions:
(a) can good work experience set-off low acads? i dont have excellent academic record (X - 81%, XII - 75%, Graduation 53% and Post Graduation - 58.33%)
(c) Does SP Jain consider entrepreneural work experience?
(b) Does the institute prefer students who have graduated / undergraduated in commerce stream?
(c) Does SP Jain Dubai/Singapore have accommodation facility for spouse?

I am in IMT dubai campus.The SP jain Dubai campus is very near to our college.The placements have been very bad there.Only 20 % of the batch is placed (to the best of my knowledge).So please contacts the students before taking admission.

This is unbelievable.... Shocking if true! As per my knowledge, SP Jain Mumbai has placed all its PGDM students passed out this year. How can there be such a drastic difference in placement record of the same B-school operating at different locations??? By the way, ISB has been able to place only 57% (245/431 students) uptill now. Traditionally ISB Placement season gets over by March but this time it has been extended for indefinite period.

I cannot comment on your chances as that would be the decision of the Admissions Committee.
Yes, as your CAT score does not meet our cut off you will have to take either the GMAT or the SPJAT.
You may apply first and then submit the scores later. The latest that you can submit your scores would be by end of August 09

I am a B.Sc.IT graduate from Mumbai university.I graduated in April 2008.I have been working ever since my graduation.
I would like to apply to the S.P.Jain GMBA program.I have taken the CAT and got a 51 %.My std.X - score is 78,std.XII-58, and graduation score is - 59
Do i stand a chance to get in?
Since my CAT score is BAD do you suggest i give the GMAT or the SPJMAT?
Also if I register for GMAT now can i still fill in the application ? And if yes by when do I have to submit my GMAT official score?

(c) Does SP Jain consider entrepreneural work experience? yes, entrepreneural work ex is considered
(b) Does the institute prefer students who have graduated / undergraduated in commerce stream? There is no preference given to studnets graduating from a particular stream
(c) Does SP Jain Dubai/Singapore have accommodation facility for spouse? It can be provided subject to availabiility and at a premium

then the score is valid. Any scores prior to that are not valid

As admission process has already started,Can I fill up application form and submit it before giving aptitude test? Will that be processed or should I wait for SPJAT.

I am a differed student of the april 09 batch on for dec09 and there is aprticular problem in terms of finance that I need help in.
On account of ongoing family dispues I cannot offer the full collateral demands for a student bank loan of 15 lakhs. Therefore I had aplied for scholarship for the april intake but was informed that the result would be announced later after the last due date for fees. On account of all this I had to differ the admit and was informed that the request for scholarship would again have to be put in for the dec09 intake.
Now i am in a greater fiasco that if like earlier i applly for the scholarship and its results are announced later then again I would be in a situation same as april09 and this time I would have to forego the admit as now no other option would be available.
Therefore I request you to provide me with a suitable poa for my case.

Your profile seems fine to apply but I cannot comment on yourchances as that would be the decision of the Admissions COmmittee
Relevant work is not mandatory but there must be a logical reason as to why you want to study a spez differetn from your background

Please tell me if I have understand it correctly or not.
It means that I can apply first without test score. My admission form will be processed and I may get call for further admission process.
But in mean time I will have to take test and submit my test score for being eligible for that process.
