Hi,

its too late to register for the test on the 11th of Jan 09. Your GMAT score of 640 is fine as sometimes the Admissions COmmittee is willing to over look this marginal shortfall if you are meeting all other criteria

Hi Shweta/Rutty,

This is Kunal Chopra from India.I am a bit late in the application for April 2009 intake.

Following are my stats:

Work Ex : 3.5+ yrs exclusively in Information Security
10th : 72%
12th : 72%
B.Tech : 76%
GMAT : 640

Since,the cutoff for GMAT is 650,I wanted to give SPJAT,but I am not sure whether I would be able to give SPJAT now for the Apr 2009 intake.Will there be another SPJAT after 11th JAN?Can I somehow give the 11th JAN SPJAT?

What would you suggest? Shall I apply with the above profile or it is not worth applying with a GMAT of 640.

Hi,

Yes we do have 2 intakes in a year -April and Dec. There is no difference in the 2 except that the Toronto option is not available in the Dec intake. The fees maybe revised for the next intake - however we have not yet taken a decision on that front as yet

Hi Shweta,

Hope you are doing well.
Does SP JAIN also admits in October/Nov as well.

Actually due to some obligations with my present company, i can't leave my job b4 June. Hence this question.

If yes, then pls tell me the no. of intakes. And the fees etc. are same as of the April course. Any difference pls highlight that.
My details:
10th - 82
12th - 83
BTech - 70
Work Ex - 30 months in HCL
CAT'08 - 93.11
Not tht much extra curr. Member of community service council in our company.

Hi,

We do not have any waitlist number system. The admissions committee reviews this waitlist from time to time as and when need be and students found suitable are shortlisted
However there is no fixed time frame as to when this happens

Hi Shweta,

Well i had received a mail for updating my scores by sending an email or to give SPJAT. I have applied using my CAT 08 registration no. My query is since the CAT scores are out today, do I still need to update with this by sending the email or would the adcom will get the scores?

HI Shweta,

I have applied for the Evaluation and submitted my application in the beginning of Jan 2009.Also, I will be giving the SPJAT on the 11th.

What i want to know is that what are my chances of getting a call for evaluation ?Is it too late..? I read tht the last date for applying is 32st of Jan 2009. Though apps are considered on a rolling basis,whts my chance?

Hi,

Your GMAT score is fine as it meets our cut off of 650. For candidates living abroad if they are shortlisted then they will have to submit their essay/case study online and will be interviewed telephonically

Hi,

I am planning to apply for the December intake to SP JAIN DUBAI. My profile looks like this:

GMAT: 650
Experience: 4 yrs in IT with 1 yr Intl Exp

Can you tell me if this is sufficient or should i try for a higher GMAT score since I have time right now.

Also I am based in Los Angeles right now. If my profile gets shortlisted, will I have to travel to MUMBAI for evaluation or can it be done from here only?

Around what time will applications for the December Intake open?

Hi,

You have a good amt of work ex and your CAT score also meets our cut off. However I cannot comment on your chances as that is the decision of the Admissions Committee.

We haven't yet opened admissions for the Dec 09 intake hence you will not find any details reg the same. Pls check our website around May 09 for the same

I gave the SPJAT today i.e 11 Jan, 2009. Well there was a question in GK where none of the answers were right in the AO part of the question paper.

What is the stcok exchange of singapore called?
1] Strait Times
2] Kospi
3] STX
4] Hang Seng

Well of all the four above none of them is the answer. Singapore stock exchange is called SGX (Singapore Exchange - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

In this case what does SP Jain intend to do if the student has attempted the question?

Just a quick clarification. The evaluation call says that the process will take 6 hrs.Will it really take that much time because I have evaluation at 2.30 PM and it would be difficult for me to book flights for that night if thats the case.Please confirm

I have submitted my application,but I have check marked ("Yes") the option of whether you would take SPJAT or not.

As per your response I would not be able to take SPJAT for April 2009 intake.Now,do I need to inform this to the admission committee?If yes,how do I inform them?

Hi,

This call cannot be deferred to the Dec 09 intake. You will have to apply afresh for the Dec 09 intake and your application will be reviewed keeping in mind the criteria and requirements of the Dec 09 intake

Hi,

If you read the questions carefully - it asks you - What is Singapore's stock "index" known as and not stock "exchange"

The stock exchange is SGX but the stock index is Strait Times Index
