Hi,
I am in the process of applying for April 2009 intake. I have a valid GMAT score. I have a couple of queries:
1)Do i need to ask ETS to send score to S P Jain (i didn't select s p jain as one of the schools during the exam:sad:) or is it sufficient to fill in the details and submit a copy of my gmat score card?
2)What is GMAT registration ID? Is it the GMAT ID or the Appointment no?

hi,

Your CAT 07 score is fine - as it meets our cut off of 80%ile. Pls go ahead and submit your application with your CAT 07 score.

We do not call students only on the basis of CAT/GMAT or SPJAT scores - the Admissions Committee will look at the overall profile and then decide whether to shortlist a candidate or not.

We have stopped accepting XAT scores

Hello,

I have secured 86.35%ile in CAt 2007. I have 30 months experience as on Dec 31st 2008. I have appeared for CAT 2008, but am not very optimistic of a better percentile than this.
Also is it possible that i wait for CAT '08 results to be out and then decide which score to apply with (CAT '07 or CAT '08 ...depending on whichever is better?

Is this percentile (86.35) fine enough to earn me a call?

Are XAT scores not accepted?

I will appreciate if you could shed some light on this.

I'm a final yr. student of bachelor's of management studies (mumbai university). i'm keen on takin up an mba as soon as i graduate in june.'09. when do u think is d rite time for me 2 apply? i have given CAT dis yr. however i cant apply for the april intake as i wont b a graduate till then. can i apply for the dec.09 intake? i'm willing 2 give d spj aptitude test. i have a good academic record, have an experience of my own website startup, good co-curricular record.

We have spoken to the concerned persons as well as some other students who took the test in b'lore in the 2nd room - they all concurred that there was NO SUCH UNTOWARD incident.

Everything went off smoothly. THere were only 91 students in Blore and about 40-45 were in the 2nd classroom and not 150 as stated. Hence there was no chance of any such acts taking place.

SPJAT is over but the issue which i want to raise to Shweta (ADCOM) through this ost is that the test conducted was far below the expectation ( not in terms of paper) but the way in ehich it was conducted, there was no proper sitting arrangement(no roll no on chairs), people came in groups and sat together and rest you must have known that what will follow in test.....................
the guys came in group first solved their paper individually and at last few min. or in time when invigilator was collecting sheets, were copying answers ....................
it was really a thumps down ..............i thought that SPJAIN will stand up to its reputation
I am not sure about other centers but it happened in Bangalore ( in the second room at least)..
These people have charged 2000 per test and after that they are not able to manage even 150 students (at each center).
Hope these guys will take care from next time.

i am not sure to whom did you ask about this but i myself have seen this and there is one more puy who agreed with that.
there was group in which six students came and they occupied the seat in the second last and third last rows and i myself saw these people changing the answer sheets ..............
The number of total students was an approximation just by seeing the crowd.......
i know that now nothing can be done but from next time ownward plan to have proper sitting arrangement.....

it may or may not have happened in bangalore... but it sure did happen in delhi... i mean aspirants were cheating as and when they wanted... i myself saw atleast 4 people copying from each other's sheets and 2 of them sitting in a particular way to facilitate cheating... the invigilators went about their job extremely casually... those cheaters took great advantage of such a casual approach...
such conduction of a test is not expected from SP Jain... kindly tell your invigilators to be more alert while at the job in the future...

We usually prefer students with work ex - however we do consider freshers who are outstanding. So maybe it would be beneficial for you if you gained atleast 18mths of work ex and then tried

sticker labels are stickers having adhesive on them, they are plane white stickers on which you can mention details needed like address etc..
you can get them from any stationary ................
In that you have to mention your address and at on top somewhere mentione the application number as well.....

The Dec 08 placements are still very much on and only 5-7% of the batch is yet to be placed.

PLs wait until we release the official figures on our website to know the accurate and authentic information and kindly do not go on hearsay

1. By when will the SPJAT scores get updated on the website ?
2. Since few folks have already got the Eval calls, should it be assumed that for the rest who havent got the eval calls so far that the adcom is waiting for their spjat scores to take the final decision ?
