Your profile seems fine to apply - however i cannot comment on your chances as that is the decision of the Admissions Committee.
Also pls note that we prefer candidates with work ex though we are willing to consider freshers who are outstanding
Thanks Shweta

Please officially inform SPJain IT department that the site is not working properly and students are not able to fill form. Seriously it is not at all expected from such an esteemed instt that there are bugs in its site (even sending complains from students so many times).
Hope SP Jain authorities take this feedback in a positive way.
I have jts applied to the april intake of the SPJCM. I have been in IT for the past 3.6 yrs. Am a team lead now.
I took the gmat in 2007 May and score 710. SSC - 76 % HSC 76 % ENGG - 83 %
Extra Curr: Have completed two levels in French from Alliance Francaise. Play the guitar and perform regularly in official gatherings.
Social - Have been among the top 10 volunteers in my previous org. Was a teacher of english grammar for stud of class 9.
My client is an auto giant. I work in their supply arena. I like working in the manufacturing industry, especially auto and their logistics. I plan to move into SCM in the future. I have chosen the GLSCM course as my first priority in SPJCM and IT mgmt as my 2nd preference.
I have a query here.
As I am primarily in IT and work for an auto giant, I cannot claim to have an experience in the auto industry or the manufacturing industry. But, I have been working in that line for almost an year. I like that business and want to move into that line. But, it would be difficult to substantiate a transition into manufacturing industry after being in IT for 3.5 yrs.
Could you please let me know how to put my case infront of the committee if called for an interview.

Since you are working in the mfg industry even tho your domain is IT - it seems logical for me to make that transition as you would have some background of the industry. hence now it would be upto you to convince the Admissions Committee of the reasoning behind your switch
Thanks Shweta

I have applied for the April 09 intake. Date of application - 17th Nov
I am also taking the SPJAT on 7th Dec.
Brief synopsis of my profile is as follows, Xth - 86.4% XIIth - 93% B.Tech - 74.22% Work Ex - 53 months (wud be abt 5 yrs if I was to join in Apr) -> 3.5 yrs at Motorola as a S/w Engg -> 1+ yrs at Oracle as a senior consultant - BD+sales -> (here I changed my profile from coding/software to sales/BD) ECA - Pretty Good (including sports & community sercvices as well) GMAT - 620
1st priority - SMM 2nd " - PMM
My query -> 1. Is my profile good enuf to be considered for the eval rounds even with my current GMAT score or do you think the panel wud rather wait for my SPJAT score and then complete the evaluation process? Basically, is my GMAT score gud enuff for me to get a call for the eval rounds with my current credentials? 2. By when would I be intimated about the result, as far as obtaining the call to the eval round is concerned, considering that I submitted the online app on 17th Nov?
Your profile seems fine but your GMAT score falls short of our cut off of 650. Hence you may be required to take the SPJAT.
You should know your status within one month from he date of submission of your application
Thanks SHweta

Your not being selected last time does not lead to your being waitlisted this time. It could be for other reasons that you are waitlisted. The wait list is reviewed from time to time by the Admissions Committee as and when need be and students found suitable are shortlisted .However there is no fixed time frame as to when this happens.
THanks Shweta
Hello,
I had applied for April 2009 intake. But I did not get evaluation call. My status is chaged to WAIT LIST - INITIAL SCREENING.
What does it mean? When can I get evaluation call?
I tried in December 2008 Intake, but I was rejected, this is why I am in WAIT LIST?
Hey buddy Atleast they have not rejected u .. Cheer up dear Even i am waitlisted My take is that they have waitlisted me bcz i have applied thru CAT 08 So waiting for 9 jan.. TC
I was unable to print out the hall ticket for the SPJAT which is tomorrow. Please can somebody who is either taken the exam in the past or is taking it tomorrow in Delhi give me the address of the center. I know that its on Copernicus Marg in Delhi but the exact address would be helpful.
hi, I have recently applied to SP Jain dubai & Singapore. I am a fresher and my profile looks something like this:- 10th = 76% 12th = 52.77% B.Tech (Biomedical Engg.) = 66.86% CAT 2008 expected percentile = 87 %ile I have mentioned in the application that despite facing a huge disappointment in 12th, i secured a rank among the top 10 students in the class leaving behind some of the students who scored more than me (>80%) in 12th. I have also presented paper, project and poster during my engg. studies. And to add to that, i gave GRE and TOEFL in my final year getting 1410/1600 and 108/120 respectively. These were the highest scores in my university and this record has still not been broken. All these things obviously suggest tht i am not as dumb as my 12th score indicates. Will the admission review authorities look at all these things and according to you wht do u think are my chances of getting shortlisted ???
