The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters. The aptitude test will be a paper based test. There is negative marking - different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a student's score. We do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.

I'm taking the SPJAT on 7/12/08. I'd appreciate it if somebody could comment on the format of the test, types of questions, negative marking etc or if this subject has already been discussed elsewhere in this forum, please point me to that section.

Dear Shweta I have applied for April'09 Intake, I have specified my profile & have some queries regarding the Admission & other miscellaneous Issues.. Profile: Work Experience - 2 Yrs (L&T-UAE;) Graduation - B.Tech (78%) Diploma in Engineering -77% Matriculation - (72 %) Queries: 1. ACADEMICS: I underwent Diploma in Engineering after Matriculation & Joined B.Tech in 2nd year through Lateral Engineering Entry Scheme for Diploma Holders. I have mentioned the same details in my online application, I want know that whether my application will be considered, since some B-school doesn't accept such academic background. YES WE WILL ACCEPT THIS ACADEMIC PATTERN 2. VISA: I am currently working in UAE, i have a UAE Employment visa, if i got selected for April'09 Intake i need to cancel my current Visa. I want to ask you that will there be any issue complication in getting student (education) Visa, since i am cancelling my employment visa before 3 yrs (as per Ministry of Labor Law UAE, company can ban my entry to UAE for Six months), will this ban will be applicable on study/education visa also. If Yes then how can SPJAIN will help me out in getting my Visa Clearance??????. I WILL NEED TO CHK WITH OUR VISA DEPT AND REVERT 3. RESULTS: Also i would like to know that when will Admission Committee will roll out the final list of Selected Candidates, as i have to give a minimum 2 months of notice period to my employer before leaving the job. ISTQB/ISEB certified software tester cleared NCFM Beginner module 1st and 3rd prize in paper presentation at two diff colleges paper presentations at IIT Delhi 2nd prize sports at college 3rd prize dance at college organised events at college Basic course of french some more quiz certis
Should i also give SPJain test which is going to be conducted on 7th Dec 08 (which vl cost 2000 bugs :sad:). As applicants r called on rolling basis vl my nt giving spjain test will hamper my chances as CAT result vl be out on 9th Jan and i thk spjain vl give call to students(who r applying only by CAT) after cat results r out.

Hi, Yes its true that we will not shortlist candidates without as core -so if you have taken CAT 08 we will not be able to shortlist you until Jan 08. Hence if you wish to be shortlisted earlier then you may the aptitude test

No, you will need to apply for the Sept 09 intake when we open admissions for the same - no point in applying for the April 09 intake if you are interested in Sept 09

My application Number is 28622-PMM What I have filled is: Class 12th Year of Completion: 2003 Class 10th Year of Completion: 2003 And the correct details are.. Class 12th Year of Completion: 2001 Class 10th Year of Completion: 1999 Can you please let me know how do I have these details updated on my form now? Will you take care of it directly , or do i have to report this to someone else?

I am also expereincing the same problem from past few days (Other information page).....if u see the address bar of browser after clicking on save button u vl find %Malicious%20text etc written....there is surely a bug.

Well we usually consider freshers only if they are outstanding as we prefer students with workex. Academically your profile seems good but it will all depend on the decision of the Admissions Committee
