I came to know that SPJAT is being conducted on 7th Dec, but unfortunately I cannot attend the exam as I have another on the same day. :sad:

I would like to know whether there will be another round of SPJAT?

Trying to register online for the admission test but its not getting through. I have been trying since yesterday , it says the page may be under construction or removed by the administrator.

Is there any other way to fill in the form for SPJAT

Dear Shweta,
This is in reference to to my Application No 28446-SMM for April 2009-10 Intake. I have applied based on my CAT 2007 score and I have mistakenly filled the date of CAT 2007 as 20th Nov 2007 instead of 18th Nov 2007. I hope this will not make any difference. Please let me know the corrective measure if it will.

I have applied for April'09 Intake, I have specified my profile & have some queries regarding the Admission & other miscellaneous Issues..
Profile: Work Experience - 2 Yrs (L&T-UAE;)
Graduation - B.Tech (78%)
Diploma in Engineering -77%
Matriculation - (72 %)
Queries:
1. ACADEMICS: I underwent Diploma in Engineering after Matriculation & Joined B.Tech in 2nd year through Lateral Engineering Entry Scheme for Diploma Holders. I have mentioned the same details in my online application, I want know that whether my application will be considered, since some B-school doesn't accept such academic background.
2. VISA: I am currently working in UAE, i have a UAE Employment visa, if i got selected for April'09 Intake i need to cancel my current Visa. I want to ask you that will there be any issue complication in getting student (education) Visa, since i am cancelling my employment visa before 3 yrs (as per Ministry of Labor Law UAE, company can ban my entry to UAE for Six months), will this ban will be applicable on study/education visa also. If Yes then how can SPJAIN will help me out in getting my Visa Clearance??????.
3. RESULTS: Also i would like to know that when will Admission Committee will roll out the final list of Selected Candidates, as i have to give a minimum 2 months of notice period to my employer before leaving the job.
4. TESTS: The last query is regarding the Aptitude test, will SPJAIN will conduct the aptitude test in Dubai or I have to appear for the test in India only???. I am had booked my GMAT Test date in end Jan'09, will my score of GMAT will be accepted or not????

12th : 89%
btech : 88%

CAT OA expected : according to time 81% ile

work experience : 16 months

do i have any chance of getting in .....or do u suggest me to take SPJ test

I'm taking the SPJAT on 7/12/08. I'd appreciate it if somebody could comment on the format of the test, types of questions, negative marking etc or if this subject has already been discussed elsewhere in this forum, please point me to that section.

Hi,

1. This date will be mentioned in your offer letter - it is usually 10 days from the date of the offer letter
2. We haven't yet fixed anything regarding the Dec 09 intake

1. By when should I give my final decision of confirming my seat (supposing i am selected) by paying the initial fees? Please tell me the approx date for both April and September Intakes....

Hi,

The process is the same as mentioned on the website - since you already have an offer - and if you meet atleast 3 of the 7 criteria - then you may go ahead and apply for the scholarship right away

Deferment is possible but there are certain terms tothe same - like you will have to pay the initial deposit inorder to defer your admission etc

Hi,

Well the cut off is 75%ile but there is no assurance on getting a call even if you meet the cut off if you are not meeting other parameters

We may have another test for the April 09 intake - but we haven't yet finalized this.

Hi Shweta,

I have applied for April2009 intake and I had given SPJAT on July5,2008. I know that you are accepting the score.Can you please tell what could be the cutoff for SPJAT to get a call(keeping in mind the fact that you look at the whole profile)...just an estimate...
Also is this the only test on Dec7 for April2009 intake or there would be another test for April2009 intake.....

Hi,

The placements are going well so far - about 70% of the batch has already been placed and we hope that we would continue with our track record and placed the remaining 30% soon. As soon as the placements are complete the figures would be out officially on our website.

Hi,

if you are confident of scoring 81%ile in CAT then you needn't take the SPJAT.

I cannot comment on your chances as that is the decision of the Admissions Committee
