Frankly speaking, I was taken a little bit by surprise by the test paper. I was expecting the questions to revolve around Verbal (English and Reading Comprehension), Quantitative Aptitude and General Knowledge and current affairs.
Although most of the paper was around those lines but the first section was on Diagramatic Reasoning. Which surprised me cuz I wasnt expecting figure reasoning in SPJAT.
Here are the sections which were present in my set of the test paper(not necessarily in the same order) : 1. Diagramatic Reasoning. 2. Reading Comprehension (RC). 3. Verbal (Sentence Correction etc). 4. Numeracy (Quantitative aptitude). 5. GK (Current affairs).
The difficulty level of the test overall was pretty decent. Specifically the diagramatic reasoning questions and the RC questions were of more than a decent level. I found the verbal and the Numeracy questions quite easy though. The GK questions werent all that difficult too (as long as you have a good know-how and know-what of the proceedings around the world, including sports).
Now the really important part. Please note that there is negative marking for incorrect answers. Heres the catch now, the negative marking is different for different section. For example, the negative marking for GK section was 0.25 per incorrect answer whereas it was 1 per incorrect answer for the RC and Numeracy. Obv, these section carry more weightage too. So make sure that you minimize ur mistakes in these 2 sections as they can hurt your final score the worst. You can do a little guesswork in GK though.
The instructions about the negative marking are clearly mentioned in the question paper. So do go through them carefully.

Jst go through this... The 6-month crossover between the two campuses is compulsory and which campus you start from depends on your field of specialization. You cannot choose which campus you want to study at. Finance (IB,BM,WM) and IT specialisations start in Singapore first and then crossover to Dubai, while Marketing (RM,SMM,PMM), Logistics and HRM specialisations start in Dubai first and then crossover to Singapore. Hi Rutty I cudnt score much in my first attempt at spjat so i dint apply for evaluation(interview) , Now if i give the spjain aptitude exam again and able to get the required cutoff, wud my previous score will also be taken into account in deciding if am shortlisted or not.??? If that is not the case, then why does the aptitude test form has a field?? "Have You Taken S P Jain's Aptitude Test Earlier: Yes No" "If Yes, Please enter the Date appeared on Score "
Can i skip these two fields, while filling the form even though i have appeared for the exam earlier.????

I have forwaded the application for SPJAT with the rquired DD. Will I be getting any acknowledgement from GMBA side.
Whole process goes like this: First of all make a DD of 2000, then fill the application form(here it will ask you for DD no),after submitting the information then either you should take the printout(take two print outs...one copy would be used at the time pf paper, you need to carry it at VEnue) or jot down complete info on the paper and send it to the address given at website with the Draft either by courier. sppeed post etc....!!

hi, I think you can fill up the evaluation form(application form) at any stage. but there is no point in submitting it with out a valid score. so you can start filling up the details now and save it and once you get a score you can include that in the form and submit it. or is you already have a valid score you can put that in the form and submit and send them a mail to include your latest spjat test score in your application once you receive it .

1. There are 2 forms for registering for the test. The first form is what you see which asks you for all your personal details. This you can fill even without the DD in hand. Once you have the DD ready you can go back to the link and if you have filled the personal details form you click on the link given above and you will be redirected to the DD details form.
2. The DD is to be for an amount of Rs 2000
3. Pls see point no 1 above
4. Yes, 9th AUg 08 is the last date to register for the test

Pls do mention your previous test details. We do require the same. As you have not filled out the main Application form as yet - when you do you can fill out only the 17th AUg test details in that form.
PS - Even if you do not fill out the testdetails on the SPJAT form we still have your previous scores on our records

I wont be eligible for December 2008 intake, correct? Also i have heard that as far as GMAT is concerned, international students are not recommended to go for Spring intake. As of now we havent decided anything regarding the May 09 intake,. Pls check our website around 1st week Dec 08 for details regarding the same
You can take our aptitude test on the 17th of AUgust 08 if you wish to be considered for the Dec 08 intake
No, there is no difference between the May and Dec intakes. It is upto you to deicde which intake you wish to apply for

Just wanted to know, Cn I fill the Evaluation form and submit it even before giving the SPJAT(or any equivalent apti). :lookround:
The reason why I am asking this is that it has been writeen clearly on website that application would be screened on the Rolling basis...measns First come First Serve Basis..right...so If I wait till my apti score to come and then fill the required form, I might get deprived of getting evaluated cuz insti may have got the required no of applicants..!!:sarcasm:
