Along with SPJAT I plan to take my GMAT in Sep ... But when I fill the SPJAT form for the field : Do You Have Any Other Score - Should I select GMAT ?? As when I'll fill my form I wont be having any gmat score but when I'll apply for my Dubai application i.e before Oct I'll have it ... Can anyone Please suggest ...

When i tried to register for The SPJAT test , google showed S.P.Jain Center of Management, Dubai . Singapore ("www.spjain.org")as a reported attack site . I tried with other browsers also . They allowed me into the site but when i tried to click "Click here for details" . some anonymous file downloaded which was tracked by my Anti virus.
Am I the only one getting this or what ??

There is also another site S.P.Jain Center of Management, Dubai . Singapore. ("www.spjaindubai.org")
Just wanted to confirm which is genuine before registering. pls reply immediately.

Hi,

Yes, you can send in your application before taking the test. However we cannot shortlist candidates who do not have a score.

Just wanted to know, Cn I fill the Evaluation form and submit it even before giving the SPJAT(or any equivalent apti). :lookround:

The reason why I am asking this is that it has been writeen clearly on website that application would be screened on the Rolling basis...measns First come First Serve Basis..right...so If I wait till my apti score to come and then fill the required form, I might get deprived of getting evaluated cuz insti may have got the required no of applicants..!!:sarcasm:

There is a question in the online form under the aptitude test section which asks you which test do u intend to take - there you can mention GMAT

If its the aptitude test form you are talking about then pls leave the section balnk as right now you do not have any other score

i am slightly confused.:sarcasm:..lets take a scenario...suppose I send my evaluation form within a day or two(I am considering institute havent got the required no of applicants) and then when I have the required apti score institute has stopped taking evaluation forms. so in this case will my application would be cconsidered or not...otherwise its no point in filling evluation form now..:sarcasm:

I have completed my B.Tech in May 2008.
I am selected in Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and expected to get the joining in Oct-2008. I am Thinking of applying in SP Jain Dubai & Singapore for DEC-08 intake.
I have given the GMAT last month but was pretty downside with a low score of 540. So, me thinking of giving the aptitude test dated on 17th aug to have a better score than my GMAT one.
My other Credentials are
B.Tech-7.56/10
XII-76.4%
X-78.6%
Work-Exp- NIL (Till Date)

As i Browse through the profile of the Jan'08-09 batch intake, i come to know that there was only one student with the min exp of 3 months in "Service Marketing and Management" specialization. So, I want to know that is Work Experience count so much that there is no fresher in the batch. As i am the fresher , should i go for the test and apply or should i defer the application for 12-18 months.

Please Help me

I do not forsee us closing admissions in the mid of August. You can wait for your aptitude test score and then apply. it should be fine

Yes you can as even the spjaindubai.org link will redirect you to our current website. You can wait for a day or two if you wish.

No, the tests centers are not allocated on a first come first serve basis

Yes its true that we prefer candidates with work experience and will consider freshers only if they are outstanding.

Its upto you to decide whether you wish to apply now or after gaining some work ex

I just got a status update on my application 25844-SM today which is a waitlist. I want to know wether there is any sort of a waitlist no applicable for the same ??

It has been mentioned that the list would be reviewed as and when required. I want to know wether the list is reviewed at the end of the intake i.e. when all the normal applications other than waitlists have been processed or is it reviewed before every round of evaluations??

Hi,

We do not have any waitlist nos. that we give out to students

The waitlist is reviewed from time to time as and when need be, however there is no fixed time frame as to when this happens

1. There is no specific weightage given to any one single criteria. The candidate and his/her profile is assessed as a whole
2. No, we do not need reference letters

application form.

1) My college had a system of GPA. In each of the years, should i put in the cummulative GPA calculated till that particular semester from the 1st semester or only the average GPA of 2 semesters for that particular year?

2) For the Final Grade column, should i just directly convert the GPA into percentage or is there some conversion factor?

3) For "Year of Completion" Column, I need to fill in the year of the semesters ?

4) For Degree column , should I fill in as B.E or B.E. E.C.E?

5) I do not have a middle name. However the site doesnt allow me to save the page if i dont put in a middle name. What do i do?

I have seen the placement record in the official website of SP Jain and it looks good. However I have certain query as to how much is it recognized for placements for Indian companies.

Also, it would be great if you could let me know as to how we are selected for the respective campuses i.e for Dubai or Singapore. Does it depends on our performance in the evaluation or is it on our discretion.

2. I cannot comment on that as it keeps changing from intake to intake but as of now its one year
3. As I mentioned I cannot comment on the same as that would be deicded by the Admissions COmmittee

Hi,

1) pls put the avg GPA of the 2 sems for each year of graduation
2) You can directly convert the GPA into %age
3) Yes you need to fill in the year of the 2nd/4th/6th and 8th sem
4) BE is fine
5) put NA for your middle name
