the website doesn't show my status yet. I think its not updated yet. It says
"You are presently in the evaluation stage of our admission process. Once an evaluation date is firmed up by us, you would be getting a call for evaluation e-mail giving full details of when your evaluation has been scheduled for"

I appeared for the SPJAT held on 5th July. I got my SPJAT score on Monday 14-07-08. My percentile was 92.05. I applied online on 08-07-08. My application no. is 25633-IT.
I wish to know the status of my application because it hasnt been updated on the website and I havent received any email regarding the same.
Could you please help me with ascertaining the status of my application?

Just to give a heads up on my profile, I have 3.5years(42months) of IT exp with TCS (2years) and Lehman Brothers (May2007 till date) and have decent academics and extra curriculars.

I already submitted my application, but in work experience section of the application i make the mistake by counting the number of years of experience as 2 years 2 months instead of 2 years 6 months.
How can i change this details as it is a difference of 4 months.

Filled in the application: 2 years 2 months

This is a general message. Specific details are given in the call letter sent to you.
Hence now the next change to your status will only be after the evaluations

Let me give my brief intro first to you.I am vishal and I completed my grad BE(CS)in 2006 from TIET, Patiala Punjab(one of the esteemed engg. institute).I have good acads and my grad with distinction. I had a work exp of 2 years in software.I had my CAT score 91.37 %tile and has been shortlisted for the interview on Aug 31.
I have little doubts please clarify these:
1) I had applied in GMBA-IB as first pref and IT as 2nd. now i want to know that will the panel be evaluating me on the basis of the stream in which I applied for? or the evaluation will be same for both IT & IB..?and what if someone does not get through for the first pref after interview? can candidate also get admission offer in the 2nd pref although he has been evaluated for the first pref?
2) Could you please also let me know what will be the total expense for the whole course?
What rest other than this, that will be borne by the candidate so that i am able to calculate the total amt for the full one year course?

I shall answer your queries serially
1) You will be evaluted for the 1st pref of spez. In case during the evaluations the Admissions Panel feels you are more suited to the 2nd pref then they might ask you if you would like to be considered for the same.
2) The total fees for the programme are US$ 31190 which would be around Rs 12-13 lakhs approx. This includes your tuition, visa fees and accomoodation. In addition to this you would have to bear the cost of food, airfare and a laptop, which would be an additional Rs 2 lakhs approx.
All these details are specifically mentioned on our website. I suggest that you may pls read through our website carefully before proceeding for the evaluations

I had applied for the june 08 intake for banking management and had gotten a waitlist and eventually did not manage an evaluation call.
I have applied again for this december 08 intake with my specz changed to SMM as first preference and IT as second choice as now i have a clearer idea of what stream i really want to pursue.
my profile is pretty ok but just for my low +2 marks and work ex on the lower side..
X th - 71
XII th - 58.2
B.Tech Computer Science - CGPA 7.1 on a scale of 10 from a premier institute
Work ex - 15 months with IBM GBS for a european telecom giant in CRM domain
SPJAT - 76 percentile
Decent extra-curriculars , Technical Certification,paper presentation Event organization, etc
So my query here is that how much will my previous application of may 08 effect my current application? will this change of specialization in this application from the previous one affect my chances i.e. will it create a bad impression on the evaluators of applications ?
Or will my application be freshly evaluated ?
Kindly throw some light on the same and my chances of getting an evaluation call this time.

Hi,
A higher SPJAT score may or may not improve your chances. It all depends on the decision of the Admissions Committee.
Yes, the waitlist is reviewed from time to time asand when need be and students found suitable are shortlisted by the Admissions Committee. However there is no fixed time frame as to when the waitlist is reviewed.

2) Is the DD Amt 2000 or 2500 in favor of 'S P JAIN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND RESEARCH'?
3) The link above does not show me any Text Box where I need to to put in my DD Details ... where will it prompt me to fill those details?
4) End date of registering for test is Aug9 , is that right?
