My profile is as follows:

10th - 76
12th - 84
Engg.- 79 (Mech. Engg. , Anna Univ)
CAT - 87%ile
Work Ex. -15 months in MNC.
Never below 70% thro' out my Engg.

1. How are my chances ?
2. Having given GLSM as my second preference will I be called for evaluation for that atleast in case they dont find my profile suitable for RM???
3.When does the evaluation result come out???

THe details are all available on our website - I am reproducing the data from our site
The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a students IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for a duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters.
The aptitude test for the December 08 intake will be a paper based test.
Yes, there is negative marking different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a students score

Presently i am working in Financail Domain with company who make Online trading softwares ,with the help of those we can do trading through internet during Market Hours .
Even i have done BCA/MCA during my Academics.
What i need to know that how much year of experiece we need to enrol in SP JAIN Global MBA(DUBAI&SINGAPORE;).
For which session i can enrol and, what is the scope after doing it regarding salary and designation ,
wheteher we get job abroad or in India.

yes in ca se you are not found suitable for your 1st preference then we may shortlist you for your 2nd pref if founf suitable for the same

It takes about 30-45 days for you to know your application status

3. I have started Doing ITIL Training so i wanted to know the expected date for interviews so that i can plan as such so that at the time of interview my Certification is complete.

4. What is the procedure for Scholarship Consideration?

Hi,

No we look at the overall CAT score and do not have sectional cut offs

The 59.33 should not be too much of a problem but it all depends on the Admissions COmmitee

We have not yet fixed the dates for the Evaluation rounds.

The scholarship criteria have been clearly mentioned on our website

@ All:

I am applying to SPJCM for the 2nd time.. last time i was shortlisted for the evaluations, but couldn't convert it to a final admission (I was there in the last batch of interviewees). Anyone of you'll know whether there are students who apply for a 2nd time & get through???

The only problem in my profile is my graduation second year marks and thats why probably I have been ignored for the last two applications. Can't my hedge fund experience of 2.5 + qualify me for the GD/PI round. I have 85 %ile in CAT 07 and my application number is 25293-BM.Note: I chose Banking management considering the fact that too many techies want to be Investment bankers 😃

Hi,

1) it has clearly been stated on the form that it is for candidates who want to join their family business OR START AN ENTREPRENEURIAL VENTURE or have taken a sabbatical from work.

2)No, there is no difference between the courses. The programme taught is the same. Its just that studnets who opt for this category would not be eligible for the placement services

I cannot comment on your chances as that would the decision solely of the Admissions Commitee. However if the only issue as you mention is your 2nd yr graduation marks then maybe the Admissions Commitee may be willing to overlook the same if it finds that you are meeting ALL OTHER criteria

Hi,

Your profile sounds fine except for your GMAT score which is below our cut off. Hence you may retake the GMAT or take the SPJAT.

If you apply with your current score then your application will be waitlisted until you submit a score which meets our cut off. Alternatively if you are found to be meeting ALL other criteria except the score aspect then you would receive an email from us asking you to take the SPJAT or provide us with another score

Placement details are very clearly mentioned on our website.

Students could be placed in Dubai/Singapore or India or even anywhere else abroad

i am a fresher, Btech computer science grad, may 2008 pass out with no work experience. i have a score of cgpa of 8.6 in college and and a score of 85% and 90% in std XII and X. My extra curricular activities are moderate. Some of them are being a part of the cultural fest team to organize events and the editor of the department magazine. Also i have not taken CAT or GMAT so i will have to take the internal aptitude test.

I would like to know if i stand a chance of getting through the dec 2008 intake with the reqd scores obtained in the test and performing well in the subsequent stages.

i have not yet applied as i am unsure about freshers intake. most of the profiles i have seen in this thread have some wrk exp.

Hi,

This year , the admissions to SPJIMR's(Mumbai campus) flagship course-PGPSM - MIT was scrapped , reason cited - some problems with the AICTE approval.
I realize that GMBA is also not AICTE appoved! This shouldnt be a big issue considering the fact that spjain is one of the reputed institutions.

But, I would like to know - whether the scrapping of admissions to MIT course, have any repurcussions on the admissions to GMBA as well??

Also , at the end of the program what degree would the students be conferred with? Is it PGDBA or GMBA ?
