Dear Ruchita,
Students have gotten placed in India as well at good positions with good pay packages.
The average salaries that you might have seen on our website are for students who have returned to India or stayed back in Dubai.
Frankly, there is no "season" as such when companies require employees, organisations need trained and skilled personnel all year round . Its just that they plan their recruitments around Feb- June as most B-schools in India complete their courses at that point in time. So you need not worry about getting placed if you join the December batch.

This is Gaurav...I have a work-ex of 21 months in IT as a software engineer...i want to apply for marketing.Could you please let me know whether SP Jain Dubai would encourage a shift from IT to marketing field or not? I would also like to know the date of SPJAT exam and the frequency of it for Dec 08 intake.

Hi,

Our GLSCM spec is not only towards the mfg side. The omain change will not affect your admissions process but you must have valid reasons as to why you wish to change

You may submit your appln without your GMAT score and once you receive the same you may fwd it to us by sending an email to [email protected]

I am Archana .. I am SPJCM aspirant and i am applying for DEC 2008 intake

When i apply i will be having my work experience close to 2 years (23 months) . I worked with infosys for 1.5 years and now i am into Cognizant.

I wanted to do my MBA in Global logistics and Supply chain management and i have done internal certification in global chain management to prove the adcom that i have interest in doing the same

I am in IT and if the people ask me why I havnt taken IT management can i say them ( the IT management curriculum is almost similar to what i have worked for 2 years and i wanted to try my hands on Supply chain and i am much interested in that)

Is the Global logistics and supply chain management is more towards manufacturing and logistics domain but i have been working in HEALTHCARE for 2 years in both the companies. Does this domain change affect my admission process

I have good acads and extra curricular activities on my back

Can i submit my application with the unofficial GMAT score as i am taking GMAT in mid of AUG 2008.

Hi,

1) No, We are acepting SPJAT scores of ONLY 2008. Hence a 2007 score would not be valid

2) Yes you can apply for a diff spec this time

3) Yes your CAT score is fine as it meets our cut off

Hi Rutty,

I am a software engineer with 2.5 years work ex.
Please spare some time to answer my query:

1)I have given SPJAT exam on Sep 2007 (92%) is that score valid for Dec 2008?

2) I had earlier appleid for May 2008 but was not able to convert the same,can i apply for diffrent stream this time(earlier i applied with SMM)?

3)My CAT -2007 score is 82% is that sufficient enough?

I do not know where these stories come from. How would be placed 3 months after you have left the institution?!

Naturally if you are joining the Dec 08 intake placements should be completed latest by Nov 09.

You obviously do not have to wait until next Feb to be placed!!!

Hi rutty,

can u please provide info on conversion ratio(i.e, the number of calls given to number converted) for every stream? For spjimr , mumbai its about 1:10... is it applicable to spjcm as well?

also, can u provide the info on the total number of seats for every intake(jan or june) and the split-up for individual streams?
I couldnt find this info on the website!!

We havent yet fixed the date for the aptitude test - pls check our website after 2 weeks or so for theses details.

This test is not valid for the Mumbai campus

Hi,

Yes you may apply for the prog without a score however we will not shortlist a candidate without a score.

You need not update us with your SPJAT score as this would be done by the Admissions team from our side as we would already have the results with us. Only in case of GMAT or CAT you may update us with your score after submitting your application

i am from chennai .. do i have my test and interview here or i have to come to Mumbai for the same .. when i looked into the website u have mentioned the interviews will be held only in dubai .. sgn and mumbai

I am not very sure if you would remember my post here regarding my 2008 june intake. Would like to inform you that I have taken the SPJAT twice and I was called to Mumbai to take the test. However I couldnt get thru this time. May I request you to let me know when do I start for the Jan intake 09. I am really serious this time and have to join the college.

Hi,

We havent yet decided anything regarding the test.

I cannot comment about the test but the Evaluations are surely not held in Chennai. THey are held only in Mumbai, Dubai and Singapore.
