ghosh can write twice as fast as basu.A poerson takes twicw as long to write with fountain pen compared to ball point pen.ghosh can write 8pages a day with a ball point pen.

What is the least time taken to complete 1000 pages with both basu and ghosh working together???

ghosh is writes 8pages using ball point pen
basu will write 4 pages using ball point pen (twice as slow.)
basu will write 2 pages using fountain pen .. (fountain pen is twice as slow)
ghosh will write 4 pages using ball point pen(twice as fast as basu)

1/8+1/4=3/8
(3/8)*1000 = 375days.. ??

let total votes = z

y = x + 20 and x + y = z

x*105/100 = y - 5x/100
ratio = x : y = 10 : 11

11a = 10a + 20
=> a = 20

so , total votes = 20*21 = 420
