@vbhvgupta said:buddy its successive see 94/4 = 23 and remainder is 2 23/6 = 3 and remainder is 5 and now 3/7 = 0 remainder 32nd time u dont have to divide 94 by 6 as it is successive it shd be 23/6
@iLoveTorres said:it is successive division which means if you take 10. Now when you divide it by 3 you get a remainder 1. Now when you divide it again by 2 you again get a remainder 1. here the logic is you divide the quotient not the number.
Now I got it. Thanks a lot. :)
There are two numbers such that if both of them are individually increased by 5 and then by the same percentage as they were increased in the first instance each would result in 36.Find the difference between the two numbers.
a)23
b)22
c)20
d)24
Remainder of 2^2012/2012?

let the no is n
n+5+5*(n+5)/n=36
by solving
equation comes out to be n^2-26n+25=0
so n=1 and n=25
Hence the difference becomes 25-1=24

@aakhrijang
Shld be 16..
Given, Rem[2^2012/2012]
=>Rem[2^2010/503] [Taking 4 as HCF]
Now, E(503)= 503*(1 - 1/503) = 502..
=> Thus, Rem[2^502/503] = 1
=>Rem[2^2008/503]= 1
Thus, Rem[2^2010/503] = Rem[2^2008*2^2/503] = Rem[4/503] = 4..
Thus, The actual remainder will be 4*HCF = 16..
@Todd said:ok refer the attachment for naming convention.now x = radius of small circle.a = radius of semi circleSo we can see the small right angle triangle(a+x)^2 = (a-x)^2 + (a-x)^2(a+x)/(a-x) = 2^1/2x = (2^1/2 - 1)/(2^1/2+1)ax = (2^1/2 - 1)^2/1 *ax = 3 - 2*2^1/2*aNow if we calculate the ratio the answer is "None of these"Let me know if my approach is correct
Its correct approach dude...

bhai its wrong...sorry..

will post it again...

(2^2012)/2012. what is the remainder ? how to solve it? I am not able to master these kinds of divisibility questions
An engineer took a project to build a road 15 km long in 300 days and employs 45 men. After 100 days he realize only 2.5 km of the road has been completed. Find the approx no of extra men he should employ to finish work in time

Bhai OA kya hai??
me getting 68.
approach :
45*100 manday for 2.5 kms
for 1km = 45*100/2.5
for 12.5 km ; 45*100*12.5/2.5
so manday is 45*100*12.5/2.5
man required = 45*100*12.5/2.5*200
so extra men required comes out to be 67.5
so went with 68...
@vbhvgupta said:explain?
let each man do x unit of work each day. so 45 men do 45x units of work. In 100 days they do 4500x units of work. but this 4500x units of work = 2.5 kms or 1/6 of the total work. so
1/6W----------> 4500x
5/6W------------->(4500x*5/6)/1/6=22500x
but its given that it should be completed on time so the work should be completed in 200 days therefore (45+y)*200x=22500 ==> y=67.5 ~=68

yar is approach me kya galti hai
15* 300*45 = (100 * 2.5 * 45 ) + (200 * X * 12.5)
202500 = 11250 + 2500X
191250 = 2500X
x = 76.5
