If S= 1/100 + 1/101 + 1/102 + .............. + 1/1000, then1) S 1Plz give answer along with explanation
Shld be Option(4). S>1

Here, AM > HM

=> (100+101+....+1000)/901 > 901/[(1/100) + (1/101) +.....+ (1/1000)]

=>[1001*(1000/2) - 99*(100/2)]/901 > 901/S

=>(9911*50)/901 > 901/S

=>S > (901*901)/(9911*50)

=> S > 1 [Aprroximately]

1/64*16=1/4 wrk done by david
so 16 days

now 1/64+1/32=3/64
3/64*no of days =1/4
so no of days 16/3
here 1/4 because we have to cmplete half og wrk 1/4 is already done

now 1/64+1/32+1/16 =7/64
7/64* no of days =1/4 no of days 16/7
1/4 because 3/4 wrk is to be done and 1/2 is alraedy cmplted

now 1/64+1/32+1/16+1/8=15/64
15/64* no of days =1/4
no of days 16/15
here 1/4 because 3/4 part is done

now add 16+16/3+16/7+16/15
u will get option D

Hi Puys,Help me solve this question:1- If x and y are even integers,then the number of solutions of x^2-y^2 = 7389746232 isa)0 b)1 c)2 d)more than 2
let the two no be 2a and 2b so you wil get (2a+2b)(2a-2b) but essentially it is even*even(i.e even +even= even and even -even = even) so by observing the factors of the number you will find that the number can be written as 4*1847436558 so this is of the form even*even
hence 1.

2880,1440,4320,5760
each side can be arranged in 4! ways
so 4!*4!*5C3 = 5760

Guys...please help me with these doubts.......

1)A regular polygon has each interior angle equal to twice its exterior angle. Find the number of diagonals in it.

a.5
b.8
c.6
d.9

2)A circular track is 400 m long. A, B and C run in the same direction along the track. They take 50 seconds to meet each other for the first time. If the ratio of their speeds is 4: 2 :1 find the time taken by C to complete a round.

a.100 seconds
b.75 seconds
c.50 seconds
d.60 seconds

3)In a machine a series of words is fed in which then gives an output after following a certain number of steps.

Input: Sale Fake Hence Gate His

Step 1: Sale His Fake Hence Gate

Step 2: Sale His Hence Fake Gate

Step 3: Sale His Hence Gate Fake

Step 3 is the output.

What will be the second step if the input to the same machine is

Input: Play Hope Greece Soul Watch

a.Soul Watch Play Hope Greece
b.Watch Soul Play Hope Greece
c.Watch Play Hope Greece Soul
d.Watch Soul Play Greece Hope

5)How many such pair of letters are there in the word PAMPHLET which have as many letters between them in the word as in the English alphabet?

a.0
b.1
c.2
d.3
2) the time taken by them for first meet.
lcm {400/(4x-2x) 400(x)} = 50
lcm {400/2x , 400/x} = 50
lcm {200/x , 400/x} = 50
{400/x) = 50
so x = 8m
so C would take 400/8 = 50secs
3) it will be watch sould play hope Greece
in thsi method they are arranged in reverthey are arranged in reverse alphabetical order
4) 0
as none of the words here have same number of words between them as in ebglish words
another appraoch is look at the options.
say if therre are 2 letters
say a and e
so the remaining letters PMPHLT can be arranged in many pairs which is obviously greater than all the options

OA: d) S>1
