bhai x - y = y - z hai na?
condition ke acc hi to karna hai...otherwise your approach is correct
@bs0409 said:OA=14/bbIn a three digit number , the difference between it's hundred and it's tens digit is equal to the difference between it's ten digits and it's units digit . Also the sum of the digits is 9 . How many are possible which satisfy the given conditions ?
if abc is the number, then either a = c or a + c = 2b satisfies... another condition is a+b+c=9 for a=1,2,3,4 we have 4 numbers,
171,252,333,414 for a + c = 2b, and hence 3b = 9. and b = 3,we have a + c = 6
so we have numbers as 135,234,333,432,531,630.... 333 is repeated hence 9 numbers??

see for this you have to have read the things correctly..akash is only able to clear one time..so let his speed be X...
bhavesh overlaps akash 4 times so his speed is 4X
Also Chandresh overlaps him 3 times so his speed 3X
Now both bhavesh & Chandresh are moving are opp direction
now designate a point where they will meet first time & workout like this for consequent steps
clear!!

difference between two numbers can be vice versa... difference between x and y can be x-y and y-x...
its basically |x-y|
@Logrhythm said:6?? abca-b=b-cso a+c = 2b...a+b+c=9=> b=3..hence, a+c=6..(a,c) = (6,0);(1,5);(2,4);(3,3)so, 6 such numbers...
sir, y have not you considered, a-b = c-b and b-a = b-c ...
difference between two numbers should be both ways as far as i know..

yeah got it now..

if that would have been the case then the question would have read...the absolute difference between..
but han...mein bhi ye surety se ni bol sakta....ho bhi sakta hai and nahi bhi ho sakta...aslee toh tabhi pata chalega jab cat mein saamne aayega.....but i guess the mention of the word "absolute" is key...
-------------
and if the case u mentioned is considered...then we'll have 3 cases in total..
a-b=b-c
b-a=b-c
a-b=c-b
so i guess ye nahi hog bhai....

3 cases u toked abt sir equals to
a + c =2b, a = c amd a =c.... so ultimately 2 hi case hoge...
and even if absolute is not mentioned we have to subtract the smaller from the larger... please see the above link for reference
so difference between x and y is whichever is larger - whichever is smaller

in the link you have given its of and not between....in the question it is between when we say between we mean on the number line... we mean displacement ...

@The_Loser said:a fair coin is tossed 10 times. Find the probability that two Heads do not occur consecutively?
total number of outcomes = 1024
no. of outcomes with no head = 1
1 head = 10
2 head = 36 (selecting 2 gaps among 9 gaps)
3 head = 56 (selecting 3 among 8 gaps)
4 head = 35 (selecting 4 among 7 gap)
5 head = 6C5 = 6
so 144/1024 ??
