@Shray14 49?

EDIT:ah crap, calculation error, ......50 is the answer

In a class of 45 students, 30 are boys and remaining are girls. If the mean weight of girls is 45 kg and that of boys is 52 kg, then the mean weight of entire class (in kg) is nearest to (1) 48 (2) 49 (3) 50 (4) 51
49.67=50?

A 5 rupee coin with diameter 2 cm and width .5cm, is tossed into the air. What is the probability of it landing vertically on its thinner side.
What is landing vertically on its thinner side?? Is answer 0
@Shray14 50.These questions are from GBO paper.

basically landing vertically on its edges,and no answer is not 0.

yes..from GBO paper..
A travelled a total ditance of 3990km.He travelled part of the distance by air,part by water and rest by land.The time he spent on them was in the ratio 1:16:2 respectively.The average speed in each mode of travel was in the ratio 20:1:3 respectively.If A's overall average speed was 42km/hr ,the distance covered by air is:
option: 2000, 1820, 1900, 1520 (all in km)

Same to u
@anitito123 1900kms
@anitito123
1900
the coin question
cmpn guys, help me with this one....it came in one of the b school interviews...
@anantn @gauravinflames correct !!approach please
@anitito123 1520??
@anitito123
1900
@catconquerer OA is 1900.
Water flows at the rate of 10m/min from a cylindrical pipe whose internal radius is 0.5cm. How long would it take to fill a conical vessel with top radius 20cm and depth 21cm.
options: 11.2 min, 22.4 min, 44.8 min, 89.6 min

solve:2(root2+root6)/(3*root(2+root3))Options: 4/3, 1, 16/9, 2/3
2/3(rt2)*(rt3+1)*rt2/(rt(1+rt3)^2
4/3
@anitito123
take the ratio coefficient of time as Y and speed as X.
average speed = total distance travelled/total time takenso
42= 3990/19y, y =5
Total distance =3990= x(20*5 +16*5 + 6*5)
x= 19. HENCE XY*20 = 1900
