For any other polynomial what is the approach ? is the approach to make the f(x) into polynomial which is equal to zero ??
Actually depends on the question Bhai.
This approach works on a few questions but not all. :splat:

what about -5.5 and 3.5?

what about -5.5 and 3.5?
[-5.5] + 2 *5.5 = -5 + 11 = 6
[-3.5] + 2* 3.5 = -3+ 7 = 4 ....so ans is 3..values are 4,-4 and -3.5
@ravi.theja said:

[-5.5] is -6 not -5

and [-3.5] is -4 not -3

i can see one solution is 3.5

[ 3.5] - 2* 3.5 = 3- 7 = -4

another is -4.5

so 4 solutions 4, -4 , -4.5 and 3.5

Can some one give me Formula for finding the angle between hands of a clock??

start from 12 am .. angle =(11t/2)mod 360 where t is no.of mins elapsed.

bhai den hw do u find out angle between minutes and hours hand at 9: 25 frm the above formula??

To find the angle between the hands of a clock....
if "H" is the hours and "M" is the mins...then angle can be directly obtained by
ANGLE = 30H - (11/2)M
For example...when da time is 9:30...angle is
30*9 - (11/2)*30 = 270-165=105 degrees..

proof of this formula ,don't ask :P

12 - 9:25

9 HRS 25mins..=565 mins
angle=11*565/2=3107.5

3272.5 mod 360 =227.5( the reflexive angle)

if u want the smaller angle subtract it from 360 which comes around 132.5
