in such questions where the remainder comes out to be the same....find the HCF of the difference between the given numbers..and that will be the required answer....say the numbers be A+r, B+r, C+rso on calculating the difference u will be able to eliminate the remainder part that is common to all the three numbers...the above question is reduced to find the HCF of 32, 48, 80.now solve and u will get 16 as the answer..
@hari_bang said:76% of 76% of 76% of 76% of..................................of 75 anyone wll tell me sol0.76^n*75 => 0.76^n => nlog0.76 log75 = log(25*3) = 2log5+log3 = 2(1-0.301) + 0.477 = 1.875log0.76 = log76 - 2 = log38 + log2 -2 = log 2+ log2 + log10 + log2 -2 = -0.097(rounding off log 38 to log40 = log4+log10 = 2*log2+log10 )=> n((-0.097) => n> 1.875/0.097 => n > 19.32 so i assume n min can be 20 lots of assumptions so might be a near miss
A potter asked his two sons to sell some pots in the market. The amount received for each pot was same as the number of pots sold. The two brothers spent the entire amount on some packets of potato chips and one packet of banana chips. One brother had the packet of banana chips along with some packets of potato chips, while the other brother just had potato chips. Each packet of potato chips costs ` 10/- and the packet of banana chips costs less than ` 10/-. The packets of chips were divided between the two brothers so each brother received equal number of packets. How much money should one brother give to the other to make the division financially equitable? A. 1 B. 2 C. 4 D. 5 E. 7

Did by taking an example. Say number of packets 4 with one packet of banna chips included. They've got a sum of money for the pots which is a perfect square. So 3p+ b=perfect square, if cost of banana chips is 6, it fits. So one has 16 bucks worth of goods, one has 20. So pass 2 Rs.
