consider f(x) =9^x/(9^x + 3) what is value of f(1/401) + f(2/401) + f(3/401).... f(400/401)..?
f(1-x)=9^(1-x)/{9^(1-x) + 3}=3/(9^x+3)=1-9^x/(9^x + 3)=1-f(x)

=> f(x)+f(1-x)=1

200 pairs
so, value of expression=200*1=200

In a recent election for class president, Monika received 7 of the 10 votes and Alfred received 3 of the 10 votes that were cast by the class. When the machine was counting the votes, it malfunctioned and instead of giving the vote to the correct person, it gave the vote to each candidate with probability 1/2 (regardless of whom the vote was cast for). The probability that the machine gave each student the correct number of votes in the election can be expressed as a/b where a and b are positive, coprime integers. What is the value of a+b ?
probability=C(10, 7) *(1/2)^7*(1/2)^3=120/2^10=15/2^7=15/128

So, a+b=15+128=143

Lionel and Ronaldo had a discussion on the ages
of Jose's sons. Ronaldo made following
statements about Jose's sons:
i. Jose has three sons.
ii. The sum of the ages of Jose's sons is 13.
iii. The product of the ages of the sons is the
same as the age of Lionel.
iv. Jose's eldest son, Zizou weighs 32 kilos.
v. The sum of the ages of the younger sons of
Jose is 4.
vi. Jose has fathered a twin.
vii. Jose is not the father of a triplet.
viii. The LCM of the ages of Jose's sons is more
than the sum of their ages.
Which of the following combination gives
information sufficient to determine the ages of
Jose's sons? (1 mark)
(1) i, ii, iii and iv (2) i, ii, iv and vi
(3) i, ii, iii and v (4) i, ii, v and vii
(5) i, ii, v and vi

Data Sufficency question.S and T are two water pumps that run at constant rates. If pump T pumped alone, how many more hours would it take for it to finish pumping a large container than it would take for pump S to accomplish the same task by itself?(1) When both the water pumps work together, they finish pumping a large container in 23 rd the time it takes for pump S to finish the task alone.(2) Pump T is capable of pumping a large container in twice the time that it takes pump S to accomplish the same task alone a) using 1 alone b) using 2 alonec) using bothd) using eithere) cannot be answered using both
both needed?

hey . i have a few doubts in geometry and i don't know how to upload the question so if you do have whatsapp please inbox me your number and share the questions via whatsapp . thanks a lot .

Is your question in book???? Or soft copy?? if it is in book then take a pic and upload here as attachment. If it is in soft copy then use "print screen" and then paste in "paint" then save the pic n upload here :D

Just take a snapshot of the question/diagram and then upload it by clicking on the 'attach file' button at bottom right corner.

Is that 55? as i think both ABC and AEF are congruent triangles...
@mani0303 Yes it 55 .

Need help with this one:

"How much time will an express train of length 150 meters and running at a speed of 75 kmph take to cross a man walking at 5 m/s inside a passenger train of length 200 meters and running at 15 kmph in a direction opposite to that of the express train. The man is walking inside the train and in opposite direction of that train (assuming the man does not reach the end of his train meanwhile)"

5s?

75 kmph = 75 * 5/18 m/s = 125/6 m/s
15 kmph = 15 * 5/18 m/s = 25/6 m/s

Time taken = 150 / (5 + 25/6 + 125/6) = 150 / (30) = 5s
