Let one vertex be at origin and height be y, distance of smaller parallel side be D

A(0,0) B(50,0) C(x2,y) D(x1,y)
From ques
sigma side^2-sigma diag^2=576
50^2+ D^2+y^2_x1^2+(50-x2)^2+y^2-[(y^2+x2^2+(50-x1)^2+y^2)]=576
50^2+d^2-100(x2-x1)=576
d^2-100d+1924=0
d=74,26 ,can't be 74
D=26

Shorter parallel side = 26 cm.

15000,wid options.

15k*.06=p
p+p*.06=k

10k*.06=p'
p'+p'*.06=k'

k+k'=3518

Let x be invested in X and 25000-x in Y
x(1.06^2-1)+(25000-x)(1.08^2-1)=3518
x=15K

[1.06^2 - 1] * X^2 + [ 1.08^2 - 1] * (25000 - X) = 3518

=> 0.1236*X + 0.1664*(25000 - X) = 3518

=> 4160 - 3518 = 0.0428 X

Thus, X = 642/0.0428 = 15000 Rs. = 15k [ Option C ]

{(1.06)^2-1}*x+ {(1.08)^2-1}*(25000-x)=3518

By solving, x=15000.
