the four eqns were a^2+c^2=58, a^2+b^2=169, b^2+d^2=400 , d^2+c^2=289here 'c' and 'd' are 'x' and 'y' acc to u..if c=15 or 8 then a gets negative value. refer to attachment in this reply to c how i get those eqns.pagalguy.com/forums/quantitati...
continuing my earlier work

by hit and trial

d^2=12, b^2=46, c^2=243, a^2=157

Pawan and Qureshi working together can do a piece of work in 10 days whereas Qureshi and Rohit working together can do the same work in 12 days. All three work together to do a job for which they are paid Rs. 300. If Qureshi €™s share is Rs. 140, then what is Pawan €™s share?(a) Rs. 100 (b) Rs. 60 (c) Rs. 80 (d) Cannot be determined
i can see that it will be 100, still, can u post the explanation ??

Work 60 units

P+Q = 6
Q+R = 5

Q/(P+Q+R)=140/300
3 eq and 3 unknowns...solve.
@krum bhai dekh
140/300=7/15
then jo pawan bhai ka hissa hoga woh 5/15 aur dusre ka 3/15 hoga
toh 5*300/15=100

do u have any other in ur head??
In a three digit number ABC, if the number is reversed, it increases by 198. Also, if the tenth and
unit €™s place digits are reversed, the number increases by 9. If hundredth and tenth place digits are
reversed, the number increases by 90. What is the number?
a) 132 b) 321 c) 213 d) 312 e) 123

option either posible b or e

now

only e statisfies condt of rest 😃
C-A=2
C-B=1
B-A=1

Can we find the value of A,B & C

Go through options

otherwise make equations
100(c-a)+(a-c)=198;
10(c-b)+(b-c)=9;
100(b-a)+10(a-b)=90
and solve

take a no. abc=>100a +10b+c
reverse it =>100c+10b+a
diffn(given in ques)=99(c-a)=198=>c-a=2..........I
now reversing unit and tens digit=>100a+10c+b
taking diffn between this and original no.=9(c-b)=9=>c-b=1..........II
reversing 100th and 10th digit=>100b +10a+c
diffn with original no.=>90(b-a)=90=>b-a=1........III
with respect to I,II,III only 123 satisfies it...
