If S = 3 + 5 + 9 + 17 + 33 + €Ś the value of the 10th term of the series is _____.
S= 3+ 5 +9 +17+-----------+(n-1)terms-+Tn
Tn=3 + 2+ 4+ 8+ 16 +--------------+(n-1)terms
Tn=3+2(2^n-2-1)
Tn=1+2^n-1
T10=1+2^9
=513

nth term of the series is 2^n+1=2^10+1=1025(10th term)

Here is another easy one : When a certain natural number is multiplied by 7 , the product obtained consists only of fives. Find the least value of such a natural number !!

@kingsleyx 79365 but i used calci for that 😛 its quite simple u can take out directly keep on dividing

555/7
5555/7

Bacteria reproduce in such a manner that every hour their number doubles. In a controlledexperiment that started with one bacterium in a jar at 2 pm on Saturday, the jar was found to becompletely full at 12 noon on Wednesday. Had there been 64 bacteria initially, when would the jar becompletely full?
2^70*64
@gnehagarg what i feel is that it should fill up 6 hours before because
if initially there where 1 then after every hour
1,2,4,8,16,32,64
ab initially 64 de rakha hai toh iske ag etoh series same rahegi aur kahta hai ki fill up in 94 hours with 1 bacteria toh with 64 in there it should be filled up in 88hrs
AT what time between 7&8 are the hands of a watch equidistant from NO. 8 at the clock??
