My approach
since he is selling 12.5% less. i.e. 1/8 less. ==> 1-1/8 = 7/8
matlab in 1 Rs he is selling 7/8
therefore profit =
1 - 7/8
------------- = 14.28 %

since he is selling at price 6.25% which is exactly half of 12.5 % THUS Profit will be Half
