1. Two towns are at a distance of 240km from each other. A motorist takes 8 hrs to cover the distance if he travels at a speed of Vo km/h from town A to an intermediate town C, and then continues on his way with an acceleration of x km/hr^2. He needs the same time to cover the whole distance if he travels from A to C at Vo km/h and from C to B at V1 km/h or from A to C at V1 km/h and from C to B at Vo km/h. Find Vo if the acceleration x i double Vo in magnitude and Vo not equal to V1

.a. 15 km/hb. 10 km/hc. 20 km/hd. 8 km/he. none ans : 20km/hr

A number N when factorized can be written as N=P(1)^4 X P(2)^3 X P(3)^7
Find the number of perfect squares which are factors of N. (The three prime numbers P1, P2, P3 > 2).Can someone explain solution of this?

Only a single rail track exists between stations A and B on a railway line. One hour after the northbound

super fast train N leaves station A for station B, a south-bound passenger train S reaches

station A from station B. The speed of the super fast train is twice that of a normal express train E,

while the speed of a passenger train S is half that of E. On a particular day, N leaves for B from A,

20 min behind the normal schedule. In order to maintain the schedule, both N and S increased their

speeds. If the super fast train doubles its speed, what should be the ratio (approximately) of the

speeds of passenger train to that of the super fast train so that the passenger train S reaches

exactly at the scheduled time at A on that day?

1. 1 : 3

2. 1 : 4

3. 1 : 5

4. 1 : 6

A grocery store decides to mix left over rice of five different varieties costing Rs. 25, Rs. 32, Rs. 39, Rs. 46 and Rs. 53 per kg. If the store had no profit nor any loss after selling the mixture at Rs. 39 per kg then the ratio of the quantity mixed, in order, could be:

1) 2 : 4 : 3 : 3 : 1

2) 2 : 1 : 1 : 2 : 3

3) 1 : 1 : 2 : 1 : 2

4) 2 : 3 : 5 : 3 : 2

How many (unordered) pairs can be formed from positive integers such that, in each pair, the two numbers are coprime and add up to 285??

Guyz I might sound lame but can u share the method u wud use to find number of 5 digit multiples of 11 . A : 8181

My method is bit tedious n long

10000 (smallest 5 digit number) divide by 11 remainder 1 thr add 10 to get first 5 digit multiple of 11 ie 10010 and similarly find biggest 5 digit multiple of 11 ie 99990 and apply AP method to Find.

Or Can we divide no. of 5 digit numbers 90000 by 11 = 8181 (Does this always work )
