Q2
@scrabbler bhai ise solve kar do.
@bodhi_vriksha said:No Think again ..Draw the figure and then try it Team BV--Pratik Gauri
im getting 6 over lapping triangles to go with 18 total triangles.. hence area = 1/3?
@bodhi_vriksha said:One from my side : A square of unit diagonal is cut along one of the diagonals, and the two parts are moved towards each other along the line of the other diagonal. What is the maximum possible area of the overlapping region?Team BV--Pratik Gauri
3/8 of the area of square?

20*5/4 = 25=MP
25*x^2=20.25
x=81/100
hence 19% discount
25*1.19*1.19-20=15.4025
15.4025-.25=15.1525/.25=60.61=6061% aa rha h
where m i gng wrong?

@jaiswalicsi said:bhai cant it be ,say , diagonals of all 4 —4 square on a chess board
No, it could also be 4 squares which are non-consecutive on a longer diagonal.

@vbhvgupta said:explain?
cp = 20
mp = 25
discount be d
2025/2500 = (1 - d/100)^2
d = 10%
profit p1 = 20.25 - 20 = 0.25
when price is increased by d%
sp = 121/4
profit p2 = 121/4 - 20 = 41/4
%change = (41/4 - 1/4 )/0.25 *100 = 4000%
@vbhvgupta c.p=20 s.p= 25
not successive discount =10% after 1st 25-2.5=22.5 and again 10% 22.5-2.25=20.25
not successive increase = 25+ 2.5= 27.5 and again 10% 27.5+ 2.75= 30.25
initial profit= .25 and later 10.25
percentage change= 10.25 -.25 = 10/ .25 *100= 4000% Ans.
@vbhvgupta for Q.2 she buys 12 apples for 12 rs initially (costing rs 1 per apple) after bargaining she saves 1 rs with which she gets another apple. I feel OA provided is wrong.
