A bought toffee at 6 for a rupee. how many for a rupee he shd sell to gain 20%.
its jus likeur SP is 6 and you need to calculate the CP with profit percentage to be 20 so CP will be 5.. so he needs to sell 5 choclate.. as inverse hogaya hai sab..

when an article is sold for 703 loss incured is 25% less than the profit earned on selling it at rs 836. What is the SP of the article when it earns a profit of 20%.
CP - 703 = L
836 -CP = P

3P = 4L

solving we get CP = 760
so SP with 20% profit wil be 912

the farthest point from the circle is that point where the tangent touches it... (by this method we get both, the max and the min value)(x-3)^2 + (y+2)^2 = 3^2 is our equation of the circle with center at (3,-2) and radius = 3using distance from center = radius|{3*3 + 4*(-2) - k}|/rt(3^2+4^2) = 3+/- (1-k) = 1514 =hence max is 16....or by cauchy inequality..we have (x-3)^2 + (y+2)^2 = 9{(x-3)^2 + (y+2)^2}(3^2+4^2) >= (3(x-3) + 4(y+2))^225(x^2+y^2-(6x-4y-4)+9) >= (3x+4y-17)^225(x^2+y^2-(x^2+y^2)+9) >= (3x+4y-1)^225*9 >= (3x+4y-1)^23x+4y-1 =3x+4y =copied from one of my previous posts...

a trader sold an article at a los of 5% but when he increased the SP by 65 he gained 3.33% on the CP. If he sells the smae article at 936 what is the profit %.

20%

(And yes orally)
65 = 8.33%
So 100% = 65 * 12 = 780. So profit = 156/780 = 1/5

and increment of total 8.33% or 25/300 by increasing 65 means,... the base vlue wil be 780.. so CP is 780 so with SP as 936 profit% =20%

A student selects all rearrangements of the letters of the word SACHIN in which the vowels appear together. These words are then arranged in alphabetical order. What is the rank of SIACHN in this game?
1. 649
2. 215
3. 211
4. 193

PS i dont know the OA...

for what value of K would the equation |2x-1| + |X+2| = k will have a single solution?
