One more:

4 couples of husband-wife go to a dance party where they are supposed to dance in pairs. They decide that no one will dance with his/her partner. In how many ways all of they can be paired?

Remember that it is 21st century and a man can be paired with man and similarly a woman can also be paired with woman.

approach OA 11 1/9%
are for the first question i said 22.22 sorry ... second one is 11.11 correct If an item is claimed to be sold at cost price, using false weights, then the overall percentage
profit is given by

( claimed weigth of item /actual weight of item -1)*100

@vbhvgupta said:
A trader by means of his false balance defrauds to the extent of 10% in buying goods and also defrauds to 10% i selling. Find his gain %.
100/9%
let cp for 1kg =a
so he gives away only 900gms..
the cost for 900gms = .9a
he sells it for a
SP = a
P% = a-0.9a/0.9a = 100/9%

P.S. : Kaise ho sir jee???

A trader uses a wt of 920g instead 1 Kg and sells the article at the marked price which is 15% above the CP. Find the profit/loss %.
