I think the locus will be a semi circle....

somewhat right.. not exactly a semi circle.. but u r definitely close. :)

@ChirpiBird said:
no, it wont form a triangle. i got a weird shape. i'll post OA later after 9. Let others try.
is it ( 1 - pi/8 )
=1-3.14/8
=1-0.39
=0.61

i m not sure.........

A point P lies inside unit square ABCD such that angleAPB is acute while angleBPC is obtuse . Find the area of the locus of point P. P.S : aaj saare kai po che! dekhne gye hain kya??
2/9 locus will be circular:

no tickets for kai po che

locus is not a circle. aur 2/9 nhi h :)

no, .61 nhi h.. what locus did u get?

Roughly around .2aa raha hai...
So going with 2/9...

quarter circle hai kya ??..

ans 2/7 hai kya?
1+ 2.2^1 + 3.2^2 + 4.2^3 + ... + 100.2^99 = ?

A) 100.2^100
B) 99.2^100 + 1
C) 99.2^99 + 99
D) 2^100

circle nai hai.. its kind of quarter of a circle.. not exactly though...
post the solution

Oa is 1/4. method nhi given h... :P
quarter circle se thoda bada h.. this is what i got. see attachment. sry for replying late.. was making the figure.
mera figure galat h toh do tell me.

Option b

this is totally unconventional but works in exam like cat
look at the formation of each term, consider thee last term 100.2^99
consider n=100
so the last term can be written as n.2^(n-1)
the sum till first term is 1 by putting n=1

now frame the options based on n=100
a)n.2^n ---> put n=1 you get 2
b)(n-1).2^n + 1 ---> put n=1 you get 1
c)(n-1).2^(n-1) + (n-1) ---> put n=1 you get 0
d)2^n --> put n=1 you get 2

hence only option B is in accordance.

B

this means they are considering it as a quarter circle then only can answer be 1/4... otherwise its less than 1/4

the geometric figure i.e the locus is basically a circle with diameter 1 or only the blue colored part is to be considered?

Thanks...

@iLoveTorres 's is correct. It's a clever way to solve...
If their is anyone knows other way to solve, please post...

blue colored part. wasn't that obvious? :D

the parts are shown to make calculations easy.
pi/4*(1/2)^2 + 1/4 - pi/4*(1/2)^2 = 1/4.
