iron weighs 8 times the weight of oak. Find the diameter of iron ball whose weight is equal to that of a ball of oak 18 cm in diameter.?

check the geometry question attached...ignore my ms paint skills...the question is just not getting solved.

Try it guys
ABCD is a square of side 6. The arcs u see are quadrants .
find area of shaded region

Q) Find the average of the first 97 natural numbers???
Sum = n*(n+1) /2

AM or average =sum/n = 1/2 (n+1)
n=97 , so 98/2 =49

sum of 97/97
(n(n+1))/2*n
97*49/97
49?

9 cm = diameter

PS: Physics ka question ag raha hai

7*42 + 7*35 - 13*40 = 19

9cm?

A tiled floor has dimensions m x n. Dimensions of tile used are n x n.

All tiles are green except diagonal tiles which are red.
After some years, some green tiles are replaced by red tiles to form alternate red green pattern.
How many green tiles were removed? (m not equal to n and total no of tiles odd)

(a) [m^2 + 2(n^2) - 4mn ] / [ 2 (n^2) ]
(b) [ (m-2 (n^2) ) - (n^2) ] / [ 2 (n^2) ]
(c) [ m^2 - 4mn - n^2 ] / [2(n^2)]
(d) [ m^2 - 4mn - 2(n^2) ] / [2 (n^2) ]

Preferrably find the shortest solution :)

Q) the average weight of 19 men in a ship is increased by 3.5 KG when one of the men, who weighs 79 KG, is replaced by a new man. Find the weight of the new man up to 2 decimal places???
T/19=A
T=19A

(T-79+new)/19= A +3.5
T- 79 + new = T + 3.5*19
new = 66.5+79
=145.5Kg??

mass of iron = mass of oak
density (iron) = 8 x density of oak
=> (di . 4.pi.r^3) / 3 = (di .4.pi.9^3/) / (3.8)
=> r = 4.5
=> d = 9

dont have the answer...give the approach then i can verify buddy
@shinoda said:
yep..share ur approach
fe(M)=8oak(M)
4/3*pi*18*18*18 is oak ball.
4/3*pi*r^3 is fe ball

4/3*pi*r^3 = (4/3*pi*18*18*18)*oak(M)/fe(M)
r=9

Q) in a family of 8 males and a few ladies, the average monthly consumption of grain per head is 10.8 KG. In the average monthly consumption per head be 15 KG in the case of males and 6 KG in the case of females, find the number of females in the family???
10.8*(8+f)=15*8+6*f
86.4 +10.8f=120 +6f
4.8f=33.6
f=7

first how do u prove its an equilateral triangle?
n even if it is ...wat next..
if u have solved it in ur notebook take a pic n attach maybe?!
