Doomsday = last day of feb= 4/4=6/6=8/8=12/12 of a year
Anchor for 1900-1999=wednesday 2000-2999=thursday
Q. what day is 17th Aug of 1984?

Y=84 , Y/12=7
doomsday= wed+ 7=wed
so 8 th aug is wednesday
17-8=9 9/7 = 1 week 2 days
so 17 th aug 1984 is friday :)
