Hi All,
I am always struggling in questions ( from TSD) where a circular track is given and more than 2 runners are running( under different combinations say clockwise and/or anti clockwise). I am comfortable when there are 2 runners. And the questions generally asked is at how many points( or how many times) will they meet
A classic example is this:
P, Q, R and S simultaneously start running from the same point on a circular track at speeds of 8 m/sec, 40 m/sec, 40 m/sec and 24 m/sec respectively. While P, R and S run in anti -clockwise direction, Q runs in the clockwise direction. At how many points on the circular track, relative to the starting point, would all four of them meet?
Any suggestions how to solve/approach such questions.
Btw the answer of above question is 2.
