A person climbs down a downward moving escalator and takes 10 steps. When the person reaches the bottom, he goes up again now moving at a speed 5 times the previous one, now taking 25 steps to reach the top.
Doing this by the ratio of speeds, the ratios would be 10/(n-10)=w/e and 25/n+25= 5w/e Finding n, I get 40, but the answer is 20. Also, I find everytime I get the answer double of what it should be. What's wrong please?
