MBA, IIT Kanpur was proud to host Mr. Nitin Aggarwal, Head of Cloud AI Industry Solutions (India), Google, for the 19th episode of K-aleidoscope to discuss the topic: ‘A Techno-manager’s take on life post MBA.’
Mr. Nitin started the session by briefly introducing his pre and post-MBA career. He gave deep insights into analytics and how it evolved over the years, shed light on the practicalities of life, and stressed how one must plan on a path with dedicated steps to shine in the industry. He emphasized the importance of having global exposure to uplift one’s corporate profile and to get an extensive understanding of different day-to-day processes. He further pointed out that one must hustle to reap opportunities available around and brought to discussion the essential requirements for Data Analytics like statistical tools and user experience research.
Mr. Nitin concluded the session by highlighting the significance of scaling up by having a breadth of knowledge across verticals to make oneself competent and relevant in this globalized world. He gladly took questions from the students and gave a deep understanding of each. Overall, it was an enlightening and knowledge-bound session.

Glad to see a recognition of our efforts by - Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Delhi, which has awarded our campus ’ Eat Right Campus’ with a 5 Star (Excellent) rating.
The ‘Eat Right Campus’ initiative led by FSSAI aims to promote safe, healthy and sustainable food in campuses. As part of this certification, Messes/canteens and shops of the institute were audited on various parameters of safe, healthy and sustainable food by FSSAI authorities.

The Department of Industrial and Management Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur takes pride in sharing the news that it has achieved 100% placements for the outgoing batch of MBA students.
This season has marked yet another year of determination showcased by the second-year students to seize dominant opportunities across diverse domains in the industry. The department once again exceeded all expectations and emerged as one of the prominent destinations for recruiters to meet the right talent. With 35 companies visiting the campus and 61 offers for 55 students, this year’s placements have achieved newer heights in terms of the number of offers made and the average/median CTCs offered. The statistics of this year’s placements have surpassed all the previous records.
This year also we had recruiters from various sectors visiting, with 37% of the batch getting placed in the Analytics Domain, 24% in IT/Consulting, 20% in Marketing, 11% in Finance and 8% in Operations respectively. Some of the key roles offered were Technology Consultant, Product Manager, Senior Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, Supply Chain Manager, Associate Solution Advisor, Senior Data Analyst, etc.
The department extends warm thanks to all the recruitment partners for showing faith in our talent pool, especially in these trying times.
