Official CMAT September 2012 merit list discussions

Hi,

My Profile is as follow:

Xth - 81.8 % (CBSE)

XIIth - 77.6 % (CBSE)

B-Tech - 72.24 %

Experience : Will be 36 months in March 2013 in leading IT company.

Good CSR experience- (have taught in NGO)

Gave CMAT : marks 174

I have 2 questions:

1. Do i stand any chance of getting a call from Wellingkar or GIM based on Profile

(I am outside Maharashtra candidate).

2. I will be also giving CMAT Feb exam, but when i click this option in GIM form it says that GD/PI will be in GOA only .... why this limitation :(

GIM -->

1. Profile is not taken into consideration for GD/PI Call.

2. It looks very tough at this score to get a GD/PI Call from GIM.

3. Suggest you to apply through Feb CMAT.

4. If you get a GD/PI Call through Feb CMAT, then your GD/PI Centre can be Goa only as the GD/PI's for Feb CMAT Candidates will be held at a latter stage as compared to candidates from XAT & Sep CMAT.

Wellingkar -->

Even Wellingkar looks tough at this score. But there might be some chances as there are few other PGDM Courses as well.

Suggest you to apply and try your luck with Feb CMAT as well. All the Best

And also be informed that if you are interested for Health Care Mgt, you can look forward to GIM.

GIM is starting PGDM-HCM from the next academic year.

Intake - 60. Fee is also on a lower side as the course will be started in the Old Ribandar Campus.. :)

Though, cut off cannot be commented. But it is expected to be lower than the PGDM.

I secured 2388 air in sep cmat! 221 marks, 95%ile!
do i stand any chance for a decent b-school! if i do please let me know the colleges for which i can be optimistic!
i'm a non MH candidate!
also, do top B schools prefer february cmat score over september cmat score?

@manni0612 assumed dat 48k candidates appeared! i guess dat was d approx. amount of candidates who appeared according to some reliable sites! jus an approximation thou! can be more or less! i hope u got my point!

cmat 210 marks!!!! any chances of gim or pgdm kj/welingkar or a decent B school..

@Rahoul_j It not quit late bro. If you work hard now is the best time to start. I don't know anything about mum because i live in delhi but definitely TIME institute can't help you, They only work for CAT.

@manni0612 These per were provided in some 3 rd party website I guess CETKING or something i also remember seeing mine. It felt good although marks weren't that good.

@avinashkrjha Hi I got 156 marks in CMAT...today during the TIME chat session I saw one one of the faculty members saying that I can apply for IMT Nagpur. Should I apply there? Also I have around 2yrs of work experience. Please suggest

If doing MBA is a compulsion now, then you could go ahead & apply.. !!

You could have some chance for IMT-N.

But getting Top College is very tough.

Suggest you to improve your score in Feb CMAT.

There could be chances for KJ/Wkar PGDM.

Also, there could be some chances for GIM.

But I would suggest you to improve your score a bit after applying to GIM. GIM would be accepting both the CMAT Scores.
