Yes, go ahead & Apply. For GIM, you get a waiver of rs 400 if you apply before 30th Nov.

For KJ-Som also, notification has come.

But as far as I know, CMAT Scores are accepted only for PGDM-Retail & PGDM-FS which have started recently.. !!

Placement Figures of last 2 years -->

09-11 Batch

Intake - 120

Average - 8.82

Median - 8.06

Highest - 16

10-12 Batch

First Batch with Intake 240

Average - 7.86

Median - 8

Highest - 14.42

11-13 Batch

Placement week in Mid December

There were 2 main reasons for this -->

1. Bad Market Scenario & hence the drop. This was across the nation in almost every b-school including the top 1's.

2. First batch with double intake.

3. Median is altogether a different thing. (If you know the meaning of median, i need not explain anything.)

At this Rank/Score, it is difficult to get any decent B-School.

Suggest you to improve your Rank/Score in Feb CMAT.. !!

I have another query.

My profile -

10 - 76.00 %
12 - 66.80 %
B.Tech. - 72.00 % (6.6 CGPA)
Work Ex - 2 yrs on Jan 2013 in TechMahindra.
CMAT Rank - 873 (Score 245)

As suggested earlier by you guys i am already applying for GIM, and PG courses of KJ and

Welingkar.

Issue is - I have a compulsion of starting MBA/PG this session only [2013-2015]

Thus I wish to apply for those colleges also where i have sure shot chance.

Can you suggest some more options with decent ROI [as i will be taking loan]

@avinashkrjha -- sir KJS notification is out. It doesnt differentiate between the programs which are through CAT and CMAT. It says that student can apply to all the programs using CAT/GMAT/CMAT scores. Does it mean that PGDM, PGDM IB are also through CMAT? Yes, from this time, all the courses will accept CAT, CMAT & GMAT. All the Best.. !!

Update on KJ-SOM

All the PGDM Courses of KJ-Som will be accepting CMAT Scores as well (Including PGDM & PGDM-IB)

The notification is already out.

Last date to apply is 15th Feb 2013.

Since it will be the first time that they will be accepting the CMAT Scores, we cannot comment.

But at this Rank, I would suggest you to apply. Also try to appear for Feb CMAT & improve your Score if possible.

Apply to PGDM, PGDM-IB of KJ-SOM apart from GIM.

I hope you are appearing for other exams like CAT, XAT, SNAP.. All the Best.. 😃
