boss there is no hard and fast rule for preperation time.
There are people who study for about 1 hr daily and get more than 99.5+ and you would find people devoting more than 6 hrs daily and are not able to score good marks.So you need to identify your strength and weakness by yourself.
In my opinion,preparing for 2 hrs daily and giving mocks at regular intervals is more than enough to be in 99+ zone.
When filling up the Cat application form, we are asked to enter our work experience till August(In general), after joining the Institute, will our work experience be considered same as the number entered in Cat form(till Aug) or till the time I join the Institute(till April) ?

CAT application form has nothing to do after joining any institute.It matters most before joining any institute.
So your total experience would be counted after joining the institute but for shortlisting the candidates for interview,they used to count experience till August.

Read the following information carefully and answer the questions given below: The President of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of XYZ Vihar lives in the C block of the neighbourhood. There are seven houses in the C block, including the president's --- the president's house being located at the centre. The other houses are located in the same row as the president's house. These houses are occupied by other office bearers of the RWA. The seven residents of the C block are P, Q, R, S, T, U and V. The closer a resident's house is to the president's house, the higher is his rank in the RWA, with a person on the president's left outranking one equidistant from the president's right. 1. T is four places to the left of the secretary. 2. V's neighbours are P and the secretary. 3. S is two places to the left of U. 4. The Convenor, the Organizer and the Cashier are seated together in the order, from left to right. 5. The secretary is two places to the right of Q. 6. The remaining functionaries of the RWA are the Treasurer and the Officer.
Q6. The cashier of the RWA is a).P b).T c). R d). Q e).U Q7. The president of the RWA is a).R b).U c). T d). V e).P Q8. The fourth-ranking person in the RWA is a).V b).P c). S d). U e). Q Q9. The officer in the RWA 1) Outranks the secretary. 2) Outranks the Convenor. 3) Is outranked by the Organizer. 4) Is outranked by the Cashier. a).1 and 4 b). 3 and 1 c). 1 and 2 d). 2 and 4 e). None of these Q10. If R is ordered to vacate his house and move to the house occupied by a person two places lower to him, which of the following is true ? a) The Officer has to vacate his house for R. b) The Organizer and the Convenor exchange houses. c) The Cashier and U exchange houses. d) V has to vacate his house for R. e) All of these Q11. How many of the RWA outrank the convenor
@nupurshrinet this is the order : T S Q U R V P where T : convenor , S : organizer , Q : cashier , U : President , R : secretary and V and P can be treasurer and officer
@nupurshrinet according to your guess : A is heaviest followed by C,E,B then D and F or F and D. A is grandmother. E and B are husband and wife. D and F are their children. D is a male but F cant be determined as male or female. C's relation cant be determined.
@hemant8080 you can get the shortlisting criteria of all new IIM's in their respective websites... some of them shortlist purely on the basis of cat score and some on a bit profile too...
