name of the book is How to prepare for the data interpretation for cat & name of the author is Sijwali something . But there are no such particular book for DI U have time material + Online support of Time & u can also practice DI questions from Past year papers these all will sufficient

VA - which one is your weakness ?? Starting from grammar follow Wren and Martin , Manhattan Sentence Correction guide or Aristotle SC guide . Reading Comprehension - Practice three sets daily on different subjects eg: Economics, Literature etc. Read articles try to understand what author is trying to say ,what is its theme , what is the tone.
LR - Solve any material Eg: TIME, CL, TF etc Practice LR from PG threads , Last year mocks, previous year paper there are so many options & for DI follow the same .
Vocab can be improved by following any wordlist eg: Barrons or time flash card.... Read, Learn and Frame a sentence.Following a word list will keep u in a regular touch.

hi puys...plz help me out. I plan to take cat 13. But i'm worried about my acad. Here is my profile.
X-79.8%(WB board)
Xll-71.2%(WB board)
b tech(ee)-67.3% from nit K in 2011
by the time i appear for interviews, i will have 2.5 yr work xp in SAIL.I am a decent bass player and an active blogger( don't know if that counts as xtrcurricular activity)
considering my poor acads, do i stand a chance to get calls from top tier B schools if they do not change the criteria that they put up this year( the old iims,sp jain,fms etc) and I get decent percentile (say 99+).I heard about candidates with good percentiles getting the cold shoulder from the top B schools and I don't want to be in their spot after 1 yr of slogging.
Does any of the B schools normalze board marks to make it at par with cbse/icse? Will my work xp somehow make up for mynpoor acads?
I am currently working in a MNC, as i have not engaged myself into extra-curricular activities tat much, what can be done to add some weightage to my profile during my working tenure? Any suggestions..?

As of now I would recommend forget worries about your acads and focus on the CAT '13 prep. You can't change your past can you? But you can change your future right? So work on that.
You always have top institutes like XLRI, FMS, MDI, NITIE, IIFT, JBIMS, TISS, NMIMS, SIBM, SCMHRD, MICA, IRMA etc. which has less weightage on acads and more on entrance exam score. For e.g. at MDI CAT score has 70% weightage!! Do check up on these weightages at different institutes mentioned above and you have your target category. By the way first think of getting the 99+ percentile. So what if IIMs won't call you, you'll quit your MBA plans and idea to get 99+ score?

Firstly you're in the wrong thread! This is for CAT 2013 aspirants.
Good/Bad/Worth doing a course from XYZ institute is subjective and you'll have to take your own decision based on your expectations from MBA. What's good/bad for me may not be so for you.
All said, you may want to apply for now and attend the GDPI if you get a call. In the meanwhile collect facts & information, match it with your expectations and decide on joining or not by around May/June just before classes start.

i will refer you VISTAMIND. though Im a kolkata centre student but I have attended classroom coaching of both Time n Vistamind and I would say Vistamind people are much more experienced and friendly. they will help you in evry possible way, even reaching the director is very easy. whereas in Time they didnt even care to finish our syllabus, the teachers were all newly recruited with hardly any experience, even a quant faculty was a plain Bcom grad from a 3rd grade college where 60-70% type people study. (with no disrespect to any bcom student or anyone else in that matter). Time has lot of students and they are very comfortable so they hardly care. But Vistamind is focusing on capturing market so they will anyday give you better guidance. In short I would recommend Vistamind over Time.
