And those are pre-MBA certifications only
@shattereddream sorry boss....i dont agree......most of them are european or american certifications costing form 1lakh to 2lakh.....do u think anyone will cash in 2lakh for a pre-mba certification.....those are genaraly underatken during mba on side for profile building
and if you consider the certifications they are tougher than CAT 😛 example: CFA

yes there are some but those are online certification which to my believe has no real value...some are even 24hrs course............n some banking certifications provided by Indian institutes which are solely related to banking or finance sector.....while im more into marketing/operations

ask your question in this thread http://www.pagalguy.com/forums/prep-resources/2012-2013-cat-coaching-classes-and-test-series-queries-t-82562/p-3534922?page=22
Hi all, I am new to pagalguy.
I am completely fed up with va.
(quant:99.82 and va:65.21).
(cmat: quant:100/100, va:46/100)
Kindly suggest some steps in this regard.Yes, I read newspaper everyday but still could not understand passages in exam.
Yes, i have read Norman Louis.
And yes, I will definitely blow cat this time.
@only4IIMABC course material TIME best........otherwise CAT coaching varies city to city
@blow_cat hi i m preparing for cat 13 for quant from where u have studied
@mumal123 there are many books for quant. You can easily find in the quant forum. But I would suggest you to first get the basics right. Having given cat twice, I can tell you if your basics are right, you can easily get above 90 in quant. Then go on for slightly harder questions(ex arun shrama LOD-2...etc). And for speed, give any test series.(aimcats, simcat etc).

@blow_cat thanks n one more thing which test series is good for cat?

All the best for your future

@mumal123 time papers are known for their difficulty And for their student base. So it gives good idea where one stand against al others. Simcats have a balanced paper just like that of cat. in my opinion go for these two. And one more thing dont Go For more than two series as then you will not have enough time for analyzing.ATB
@blow_cat i m having 3rd edition quant arun sharma so is there any difference between 5th edition n 3rd edition

Though i m not new to PG(1 year)...my QA is problem not VA.....and m going to attempt CAT 13...so it would be nice to exchange some views to crack CAT 13...
@mumal123 there is no difference between any edition of any quant book. One has to understand basics and its application.
Regarding no of questions: The said magic formula is Attempt of 18 questions will land you in around 95 percentile on an average difficulty slot. 21+ for 98 +percentile.
Regarding analyzing mock test: See what you have done mistake. What are the steps to get a right answer. Give a good thinking why you have not got the answer correctly. And the most important part-How you can use this logic to solve some other questions(ex: How to use percentage in speed distance problems etc).
@TONYMBA Right. That is why i joined pagalguy. To end this nonsense happening.snap result came out.and the saga continues(va: 31.110 %).
