Current Work experience of around 24 months.
I want to know that with this academic profile what are the best colleges options I have to do my MBA. I am very sincere for preparing, but I have heard that many colleges give so much weight to past acads that it looks like even if I get good percentile in CAT I shall not be called for PIs.
Also do colleges other than IIMs also look at past acads.
Waiting eagerly for your replies PUYS .
PS: I am a girl so I might get some brownie points for gender diversity.

Your B Tech is great.
Normally people get 10th score -15 = B tech
You've got 10th score + 15 = B Tech.
There are enough girls .. don't think you're going to get brownie points for diversity. Unless you are a particularly diverse girl. Hotness will play a role.
hie, myself a newbie...i know its a tad too early to start preparin for cat 2013, but nevertheless....if any one is interested, they can go to this link and check out a 9-month-prep plan..just to get the idea..i found it 2 be quite good..anyway to each his own....peace :)
@Krishna8591 Without prep if you can score that much then some dedicated hard work can get you the results you desire. 😃 Chill out for few days as of now. Then start your prep for CAT 2013 with focus on your weak areas in Quant!! Also attend GDPI's if you have applied somewhere this time as it will be helpful for next time! All the best! :cheerio:
@cooper_girl Its never too early to start prep for a competitive exam like CAT. The earlier the better! :D
All that "plan" looks good on paper. But when it actually comes down to implementing it, trust me you're going to have a tough time. Honestly, in my opinion don't have a fixed plan like that on paper. It just increases your tension if you're not able to cover those topics in the defined timelines. Rather take each day one by one with special focus on your weak areas (you can identify them by attempting 2-3 mocks) and prep step by step keeping no end targets as such for now. You can have targets when you start your revisions some time in Aug/Sep!! All the Best! :cheerio:
@rumrav Your acads are decent. There are many institutes at the top like XLRI, FMS, MDI, NITIE, IIFT, JBIMS, TISS, NMIMS, SIBM P, SCMHRD, MICA, IRMA which have less weightage (not 0 but less) for past acads. So you can very well target them. And you never know, being a female candidate you might get calls from some IIMs also if your CAT score is very high i.e. 99+. Not giving you any false hopes, just trying to tell that forget about something you cannot change now, your past acads, and focus on CAT prep. Who will give you calls, let them decide. You make sure not to give them a chance to not call you based on what you can still change - your CAT score!!! 😁 All the Best! :cheerio:

10th- 74% (maharashtra state board)
12th- 68%
BE- 61%

Are the classes notes of time are enough for CAT preparation for 2013. What have you prepared?
Hello Puys. I am Azhar from Chennai. Wrote CAT 12 with a week of preparation. Got 88 percentile. Did decently in SNAP . Might get a call. But want to try again.
So gearing up for CAT 13 now. My aim for the next year is BLACKI, FMS & XLRI 
VA seems to be the problem for me 
. Need to work on that front. Here goes my profile :
10th : 94.5% (ICSE)
12th : 95.33% (ISC)
B.Tech : 89.3%
Work experience of 16 months as of now in IT.

Hi Puys..Shattered by Cat 2012..it was first shot at competitive MBA world..need some help with my way forward..here is my profile..
Xth- 84.4% and XIIth- 80.8% (Both CBSE) Graduation- B.E.- 75%(EnC), Working with Cogni for last 27 months..
This year results so far..
CAT- QA 92% VA 82% OA 89%(Screwed in VA was not expecting this), NMAT- 201(Single Attempt only), SNAP- Expecting about 90 Marks, XAT- Screwed DM, 9 attempts only ran out of time, IIFT- 36.41 Marks..
Looks like dream of making to top 25 is done and dusted for now..pls suggest on how can i boost up my prep for next year(Will be my last)..
I have time material, but its obsolete now a days, DI which is being asked now is not there to be seen atleast in prep material , suggestion guys,devastated on 9th jan 2013 wanna be ecstatic on 9th jan 2014..seniors help me pave out a way for that!!
