@abhinavrules At the outset the following are the things that are considered very important for getting into an IIM/top B school as a fresher: 1) great acads (that is all that you have in the absence of workex to show how good you are academically/logical ability) 2) extra currics 3) confidence 4) goal in life/ability to justify the reason for doing an MBA directly after a bachelor degree (which is not exactly the correct/best thing to do and hence most candidates fall on this front)
The best advice would be to concentrate on your acads. Keep building up your extra curric record - do not try to put your fingers in too many pies just keep doing what you are doing and get more achievements under your belt (continued passion is considered better than being a jack of all trades). Also anything that shows the ability/drive to challenge conventions (as a fresher you need to display raw enthusiasm)
@HARSH_dipp at 21 years you are too young to do an MBA - please do not think you are late even in your worst nightmares. Also please understand and decide what you want to do in life. Clarity of goals and maturity in decision making about aims in life is something that any B-school will look for in a candidate. taking up a job or not is your decision. but do something that shows a logical thought process behind your decision to pursue an MBA rather than simple gut feeling.
@deepaknrn direct vocab questions are not asked in CAT exam. The stress is on contextual vocab - understanding the meaning of the word in the context of the sentence. Hence the best idea is to read as much as possible and use a dictionary side by side to understand the meaning of the difficult words.
